Fusa are powerful kangaroo-like Rahi.

History

The Fusa species was created by the Makuta using Viruses and Liquid Protodermis to be one of the Rahi to inhabit the Matoran Universe.[3]

Following the Great Cataclysm, a population of Fusa migrated from Metru Nui to the newly-formed island of Mata Nui. There, they established a habitat in the Po-Wahi region and along the eastern coast.[4]

When the Bohrok swarms were awakened, deforestation of Le-Wahi caused herds of Vako and Fusa to flee deep into the Po-Wahi desert, where they competed with Husi flocks for food.[5]

The Fusa population on Mata Nui returned to the Matoran Universe after the Bohrok swarms were reawakened by the Toa Nuva to cleanse the island.[6]

After the Mata Nui Robot was critically damaged in the Battle of Bara Magna, many Fusa emigrated from the Matoran Universe to Spherus Magna.[1]

Abilities and Traits

Fusa are mostly harmless unless provoked, cornered or in captivity,[2] but they are more than capable of defending themselves using their powerful hind legs and devastating punch. These Rahi are sure-footed over rocky terrain and at home in desert and coastal regions.[4] The natural enemies of the Fusa are the Muaka[2] and the Takea.[4]

Set Information

The Fusa was released in 2002 as part of the 10023 BIONICLE Master Builder Set. It used 76 of the set's 102 pieces. Two levers on its back attached to its arms could be used to make the Fusa punch with whichever arm was moved.
