Rock Lions are aggressive feline Rahi.
History
The Rock Lion species was created by the Makuta using Viruses and Liquid Protodermis to be one of the Rahi to inhabit the Matoran Universe.[2]
Toa Lesovikk once encountered a wounded Rock Lion that had gone mad. He tried to kill it in order to put it out of its misery. The fight lasted for three days, and the Rock Lion eventually defeated the Toa of Air.[3]
Rock Lions were also said to inhabit the lowest levels of the Onu-Metru Archives in Metru Nui, which few Matoran have seen.[4] None were ever sighted on the island of Mata Nui.[5]
After the destruction of the Matoran Universe, many Rock Lions immigrated to Spherus Magna.[1]
Abilities and Traits
The teeth and claws of the Rock Lion are extremely sharp and the tendrils of their mane become white hot if the Rahi becomes agitated.[5] Even an injured Rock Lion can be powerful enough to defeat a Toa.[3]
Trivia
- The Rock Lion was a winner of the LEGO Magazine Rahi Building Challenge and was picked to be included in the BIONICLE: Rahi Beasts, but the builder did not submit the model for an official photo, so it was reduced to a mention.[6]
