|Servants of the Bohrok!|
The Gahlok Va stalks the seas, keeping an eye out for any threats to the Gahlok's mission.
The Gahlok Va set was released in winter 2002 as one of the six Bohrok Va sets. The set consists of twenty-six pieces.
An identical promotional set was released in Japan as 1433 Gahlok Va by the Kabaya Foods Corporation in 2003. The set was packaged in a polybag, which in turn was packaged inside a box alongside a small bag of candy. The 1433 release of the set was labeled as 6+, rather than 7+ like 8550.
By combining pieces from Gahlok Va with 8551 Kohrak Va, one can build the Hapaka model using instructions published on the LEGO Club website. Additionally, Gahlok Va can be combined with 8551 Kohrak Va and 8552 Lehvak Va to create a Bohrok Va Kaita. The Kabaya version of Gahlok Va was also advertised as combining with 1431 Tahnok Va, 1432 Nuhvok Va, and 1434 Lehvak Va to create one of three possible combiners. Only one of these combiners had instructions provided.
By pushing down on the left arm, the krana on its back will fling forward.
A purple rubber krana, randomly chosen from one of the eight types, was included in the set.
The set's score on Brick Insights across its two iterations (8550 and 1433) indicates average reviews.
