Trollers are large, worm-like Rahi.
History
The Troller species was created by the Makuta using Viruses and Liquid Protodermis to inhabit the Matoran Universe.[2]
Trollers became one of the most feared creatures in the Po-Metru district of Metru Nui. 1,001 years ago, a Troller nearly devoured Toa Metru Nuju, Onewa, Whenua, and Turaga Lhikan after their escape from the Prison of the Dark Hunters. Onewa used his Kanohi Komau to control the Rahi, and it transported them through the Metru inside its mouth.[3]
After the Great Spirit Robot was critically damaged in the Battle of Bara Magna, the surviving Trollers left the Matoran Universe and immigrated to Spherus Magna.[1]
Abilities and Traits
Trollers are exceedingly huge, with cavernous mouths described as being large enough to swallow a city block. They live beneath the sands and surface occasionally to feed, though their exact diet is unknown to the Matoran.[3]
Trivia
- The Troller was cut from BIONICLE 2: Legends of Metru Nui, but still appears in its novelization.[3]
- Krahka briefly took the form of a Troller during her battle with Roodaka.[4]
