"In the many, many years since we became Rahaga, my friends - Gaaki, Pouks, Bomonga, Iruini, and Kualus - have joined with me to dedicate our lives to protecting wild creatures from the Visorak. It has been both a difficult and dangerous task, but one vitally important to the future of our world.
If we succeed, then those who read these words will know better how to live with these creatures. If we fail, this may be the only record that these creatures ever existed."
Rahaga Norik

BIONICLE: Rahi Beasts is a guide book written by Greg Farshtey and Jeff James released in the summer of 2005.

The guide contains both pictures and an introduction by Rahaga Norik, descriptions of nearly fifty different Rahi, including old originals such as the Tarakava, and original creations by BIONICLE fans. The book was written from the perspective of the Rahaga, as a way of preserving knowledge of these Rahi.

The book starts with an introduction titled "The History of Rahi." It begins by telling the tale of the Onu-Matoran Mavrah and his study of ancient Rahi in Metru Nui. It finishes with the events of the Great Cataclysm, and explains how many of the Rahi once contained in the Archives were unleashed into the city.

The bulk of the book is made up of an alphabetical list of the more well-known Rahi (roughly defined as "wildlife" in the book), with full-page pictures and another page of descriptions. Rahi from all the various BIONICLE storyline venues (comics, website, sets, books, etc.) are represented. Not every Rahi ever mentioned up to that point were given their own page; many of the lesser-known ones were described in a six page appendix section. Most of these Rahi originated from video games, or are not quite as imposing or menacing as the bigger, destructive ones highlighted in the rest of the book.

The main focus in this book was on the newer and fan-created Rahi, although it also includes the older, official models by LEGO. The cover, for instance, features the Tahtorak, the grand prize-winning model by BIONICLE fan Justin Lamb. In all, nineteen fan-built creations were presented, having been professionally photographed and superimposed over appropriate Metru Nui scenery.

The book also includes Rahi from the BIONICLE universe, as well as many of the combiner models from the sets. Most of the images for previously-seen Rahi were standard publicity images, although in high-resolution and with more detail visible.

Each description includes topics about where the Rahi lives, some of its history, temperament, size, and other attributes. At the end of each description is a short quote by a Rahaga concerning that Rahi.
