Dust Darters are small Rahi pests.

History

The Dust Darter species was created by the Makuta using Viruses and Liquid Protodermis to be one of the Rahi to inhabit the Matoran Universe.^[2] Many of them took up residence in the land of Karzahni, where they pestered the Matoran trapped there.^[3]

After the Mata Nui Robot was critically damaged in the Battle of Bara Magna, many Dust Darters emigrated from the Matoran Universe to Spherus Magna.^[1]

Abilities and Traits

Dust Darters are so small that they can barely be seen by the naked eye. They lived in Karzahni's waterfalls of dust, and feed off of metallic Protodermis. Even though individuals are relatively harmless, a swarm of Dust Darters can do severe damage to anything metallic or mechanical.^[3]
