The BIONICLE: Encyclopedia Updated is an encyclopedic look at the entire BIONICLE storyline up to the point of its release in 2007, featuring new and updated entries that built on the information present in the original BIONICLE: Encyclopedia.
Content
Many omissions and entries from the first encyclopedia were included in the guide, while new information was also added such as entries on the Hand of Artakha and Kotu. The entries were listed in alphabetical order as in the first encyclopedia. The book also contained information about the events that happened in Invasion, the original BIONICLE Legends #7 book that was cancelled. The entries themselves cover only the events up to Prisoners of the Pit. Unlike the other guide, this one does not come with a short story or stickers.
As with the other encyclopedia, this one was dedicated to BIONICLEsector01 Wiki founder Crystal Matrix and former Administrator Pekel, along with other fans of BIONICLE.

Trivia
- The book contains a number of technical errors, including:
- The image of Turaga Matau is captioned as "Toa Hordika Turaga Matau".
- The entry for the Kakama Nuva features an image of a brown Miru Nuva instead.
- A section under the Matoran entry in the original BIONICLE Encyclopedia was removed in the updated edition. The subsection explained the Matoran language and was accompanied by a chart illustrating the Matoran alphabet.
- A large number of entries refer to other entries that do not exist in the book. For example, Jaller's entry refers to "Energized Flame Sword", yet no such entry exists in the book.
- Some entries are referred to under the wrong name. For instance, Balta's entry refers to an entry titled "Resistance". However, the actual entry is titled "Matoran Resistance".
- Some pages were accidentally not updated from the last version. For instance, Whenua's entry claims that "it is still unknown how the Toa Metru reversed their mutation" whereas Vakama's entry gives a detailed description of the events of BIONICLE 3: Web of Shadows.
