Many different Activity, Sticker, or Mini-Guide Books have been released, promoting different BIONICLE characters, locations and storyline.

Scholastic books

BIONICLE: Collector's Sticker Book

The BIONICLE: Collector's Sticker Book, published by Scholastic, is an activity book which contains stickers, information, checklists, and quizzes featuring BIONICLE characters from 2001 to mid-2003. The book was translated into Swedish in 2004.

It includes information on the Toa Mata, Toa Nuva, Turaga, Matoran, Bohrok, Bohrok Va, Bohrok-Kal, Rahkshi, and Makuta Teridax. There is also a passage from Takua titled "Beware the Infected Kanohi".

The sticker book opens with the The Legend of Mata Nui. It then moves on to a brief description of the Toa Nuva which includes stickers of their Mata and Nuva forms, which are meant to be placed on black and white images of the Mata and Nuva forms. Toa Takanuva's character description is then shown; complete with a small trivia section on the Toa. The book moves on to the Turaga, and gives descriptions of them with stickers and trivia. There is also information, stickers, and trivia on the Matoran, the Rahi, the Bohrok and Bohrok Va, the Bohrok-Kal, Teridax, and the Rahkshi. Following that there is a twenty question quiz based on the information from the book. After that there is a Kanohi and krana Collectors Checklist which includes a picture, the name, the different colors, their powers, and their wearers. Then comes the "Beware the Infected Kanohi" section from The Chronicles of Takua, and finally a message that states the future (2004) would bring new heroes, new villains and a new story.

BIONICLE: Facts and Figures is a sticker activity book released on 7th of August, 2006.[1] The book includes an exclusive Kanoka Club code. The Piraka's teeth on the cover glow in the dark.

BIONICLE: Guard the Secret

BIONICLE: Guard the Secret is an activity book released on 1st of January, 2006.[2] The book provides a brief synopsis and secrets of the Quest for the Mask of Life saga. On each page there are quizzes to test the reader's knowledge of Voya Nui. Throughout the book are other activities, including coloring, drawing, and tests. In addition, the book includes an exclusive Kanoka Club code. Zaktan's teeth on the cover glow in the dark.

BIONICLE: Island of Hope... Island of Doom

BIONICLE: Island of Hope... Island of Doom is a poster book released on 7th of August, 2006.[3] It contains posters of all Piraka, Toa Inika and Matoran sets released in 2006. It also contains coloring pages and an exclusive Kanoka Club code. Reidak's teeth on the cover glow in the dark.

BIONICLE Annual

The BIONICLE Annual is a hardcover activity and storyline book published on 4th of September, 2006.[4] It includes multiple activities, such as board games, quizzes, maps, as well as a timeline featuring story info up to mid-2006. The book also features the complete Tale of the Toa. The book contains an exclusive Kanoka Club code.

BIONICLE Activity Booklet

BIONICLE Activity Booklet is a sixteen-page activity booklet released in late 2006, advertising and serving as a sampler of the other Bionicle-themed HarperCollins Children's Books publications for the year. The means of the booklet's distribution are unknown.

Mahri Nui Sticker Scene Book

Mahri Nui Sticker Scene Book is an eight-page activity book published on 6th of August, 2007.[5] It includes information on Mahri Nui, stickers, and an interactive spinner battle game.[6]

Adventures in The Pit Coloring Activity Book

Adventures in The Pit Coloring Activity Book is a thirty-two page activity book published on 6th of August, 2007. The book includes coloring pages and games. [7]

Beat the Barraki Activity Book

Beat the Barraki Activity Book is a twenty-four page activity book published on 6th of August, 2007. It includes puzzles and activities to help Toa Mahri defeat the Barraki and find the Mask of Life.[8]

Mini-Guides

The Toa Inika Mini Guide

A series of four pocket-sized mini-guide books were released on 4th of December, 2006 and available in some European countries. Three more installments were released on 6th of August, 2007. Each book also included an exclusive Kanoka club code.

  • BIONICLE: Piraka - The first book in the series.[9] It contains statistics, information, and trivia relating to the Piraka.
  • BIONICLE: Toa Inika - The second book in the series.[10] It contains sixty-four pages. The book essentially provides biographies of all the Toa Inika, including the origins of their skills, tactics and favorite sayings.
  • BIONICLE: Matoran - The third book in the series.[11] The book was created as a pocket reference for the Matoran of Voya Nui. After a brief introduction, the book briefly summarizes Matoran life on Metru Nui and Mata Nui. Next is a Matoran alphabet, the history of Voya Nui, descriptions of life on Voya Nui, an explanation of the Piraka's arrival, and a page with pictures of members of the Matoran Resistance. After this are six-page descriptions of each member of the Matoran Resistance (excluding Axonn), including their weapons, characteristics, and a summary of their roles in Island of Doom. Lastly, there is a quiz and a silhouette/Matoran matching game, as well as a picture of the Resistance, with the caption "The Battle Continues...".
  • BIONICLE: Voya Nui - The fourth and final book in the 2006 series.[12] The book contains information about Voya Nui and other locations.
  • BIONICLE: Barraki - The fifth book, a continuation of the Mini-Guide series in 2007.[13][14] It came out on the 6th of August 2007.
  • BIONICLE: Toa Mahri - The sixth book in the Mini-Guide series, continuing into 2007.[15][16] It came out on the 6th of August 2007.
  • BIONICLE: Mahri Nui - The seventh book in the Mini-Guide series, continuing into 2007.[17] It came out on the 6th of August 2007.

AMEET Books

BIONICLE: Mahri I

A series of activity books were released by AMEET and local publishers in between 2006 and 2009. These books were released in various European countries, including Poland, Russia, Germany, Portugal, Belgium, France, Hungary and United Kingdom (however, not necessarily all issues were released in each country). Some editions of these books were additionally numbered 1 through 16. The books contained games, posters, quizzes, and story material surrounding the year's products.

The two 2006 installments were translated to French and released in Belgium and France by Hemma in 2007. These along with some 2007 books were later collected in other publications.

The four 2007 installments were translated and published in Hungary by M&C Kft. These publications had several additional titles on the front cover. Instead of a simple BIONICLE logo, the books are named BIONICLE Series. Titles Barraki I and II have additional extensions "The enemy of the Mahri". All four books have unique book names: Barraki I - "The League of Six Kingdoms", Barraki II - "Barraki Duel", Mahri I - The Toa Have Arrived", Mahri II - "The Mission of the Toa".

The four 2008 installments were published in the United Kingdom by Peter Haddock Publishing and included a competition for various BIONICLE prizes.

Each of the 2009 installments featured background information on Bara Magna, a reprinted Glatorian comic, and a chapter of "The Crossing", an original prose story written for the series by Greg Farshtey. The first four installments were translated and published in Portugal by Edições ASA. The first two installments were translated and published in Hungary by Manó Könyvek.

BIONICLE: Phantoka Makuta
  • BIONICLE: Piraka - Book 1, released in 2006, included a Piraka A3 poster and door tag.
  • BIONICLE: Inika - Book 2, released in 2006, included a Toa Inika A3 poster and bookmarks.
  • BIONICLE: Barraki I - Book 3, released in 2007, included a Barraki A3 poster and Barraki trading cards.
  • BIONICLE: Barraki II - Book 4, released in 2007, included an A3 Barraki poster planner and Barraki domino.
  • BIONICLE: Mahri I - Book 5, released in 2007, included Mahri Nui/Toa Mahri A3 poster and Toa Mahri trading cards.
  • BIONICLE: Mahri II - Book 6, released in 2007, included Hydraxon/Mask of Life A3 poster and Matoran/titans trading cards.
  • BIONICLE: Phantoka Toa Nuva - Book 7, released in 2008. A twenty-eight page book about the Phantoka Toa Nuva. It provides information on the history of Toa Mata, their adventures as Toa Nuva, and on Karda Nui.The book icludes bios for Kopaka, Solek, Lewa, Tanma, Pohatu, Photok and Toa Ignika. Additionally, it included a double-sided A3 poster, as well as Toa Nuva and Av-Matoran cards, plus cut-out pawns for a game found in book 8. The UK version has the gaming material on a separate inner page instead of the back cover of the book itself, saving the space for advertising the other three UK translations. One side of the A3 poster is dedicated to a BIONICLE competition in this version.
  • BIONICLE: Phantoka Makuta - Book 8, released in 2008. A twenty-eight page book about the Phantoka Makuta. It provides information on the Brotherhood of Makuta and their various powers. The book includes bios for Antroz, Radiak, Chirox, Kirop, Vamprah and Gavla. Additionally, it included a double-sided A3 poster, as well as Makuta and Shadow Matoran cards, plus cut-out pawns for a game found inside the book. The UK version has the gaming material on a separate inner page instead of the back cover of the book itself, saving the space for advertising the other three UK translations. One side of the A3 poster is dedicated to a BIONICLE competition in this version.
  • BIONICLE: Mistika Toa Nuva - Book 9, released in 2008. A twenty-eight page book about the Mistika Toa Nuva. It provides a brief history of the Toa Nuva from the preparations for Mata Nui's awakening until the Karda Nui saga. The book includes bios of Tahu, Gali, Mazeka, Axalara T9, Rockoh T3, Onua and Takanuva. There is also information about the histories of the Codrex, the Mask of Life and Takanuva. Some activities such as a crossword, a maze and a quiz are also included. The book also features cards of the Mistika Toa Nuva, Takanuva, Mazeka and Toa Ignika, as well as two posters of the Mistika Toa Nuva. The UK version has one of the posters in A2 format, dedicating the other side of the A3 poster for the BIONICLE competition and does not include the cards.
  • BIONICLE: Mistika Makuta - Book 10, released in 2008. A twenty-eight page book about the Mistika Makuta. It provides information on the Brotherhood of Makuta's Great Plan, a brief history of the Brotherhood in the eras of Miserix and Teridax respectively, as well as bios for Jetrax T6, Icarax, Bitil, Krika, Gorast, Mutran, Vican and Vultraz. It also contains activities such as spot the difference, word maze and a quiz. Additionally, there are cards of the Mistika Makuta, Icarax, Mutran and Vican as well as double-sided A3 poster of the Mistika Makuta. The UK version has one of the posters in A2 format, dedicating the other side of the A3 poster for the BIONICLE competition and does not include the cards.
  • BIONICLE: Glatorian I - Book 11, released in 2009.
  • BIONICLE: Glatorian II - Book 12, released in 2009.
    • Includes part 2 of "Sands of Bara Magna" and chapter 2 of "The Crossing"
  • BIONICLE: Glatorian III - Book 13, released in 2009.
  • BIONICLE: Glatorian IV - Book 14, released in 2009.

  • BIONICLE: Voya Nui is an activity book released in Belgium and France by Hemma in 2007, and reprinted again on January 31st 2008.[18] It combines books 1 and 2 by AMEET.
  • BIONICLE: Mahri Nui is an activity book released in Belgium and France by Hemma in 2007, and reprinted again on January 31st 2008.[19] It combines books 3 and 5 by AMEET.
  • BIONICLE: In search of the Mask of Life (BIONICLE: Alla ricerca della maschera della vita) is an activity book released in Italy by Hobby & Work Publishing on January 1st, 2008.[20] It combines books 1, 2, 3 and 5 by AMEET.
  • BIONICLE: Quest for the Masks of Power is an activity book featured in BIONICLE's second generation and contains a special bonus mask (Ekimu's Protector Mask). The book was written and published by AMEET in Polish, but was translated to other languages. These included two distinct English versions made for the United Kingdom and the United States/Canada respectively, translated and distributed by Scholastic; a French version translated and distributed by Comtel and Editions Carabas. It was released on November 24th, 2015; the French translation released on September 7th 2016.[21][22]

Miscellaneous Books

BIONICLE: Schoolbook

The BIONICLE: Schoolbook front cover

A BIONICLE-themed schoolbook released in 2002 in Germany. It contained 32 pages of square grid paper for writing. The front and back colored cover pages detailed the story until early 2002, had information on the Bohrok swarms and the krana, and advertised the new products. The booklet also contained a sheet of ink absorbent paper, a common feature of most european schoolbooks of the era.

BIONICLE: Island of Mata Nui

BIONICLE: Island of Mata Nui (BIONICLE: Остров Мата-Нуи) is an 8-page promotional booklet released in Russia during 2003. The booklet contains a summary for the first three years. It was available for free in stores.

BIONICLE: History

BIONICLE: History (BIONICLE: 故事情節 or BIONICLE: История) is a promotional booklet released in Hong Kong, as well as Russia. The booklet contains summaries of the BIONICLE storyline from 2001 to 2008 with additional information on the 2008 Phantoka sets and a special preview of the Mistika sets.

Unlike the promotional booklet given out in 2005 with the purchase of the Norik and Iruini sets, along with other promotional giveaways which contains information on the entire BIONICLE storyline in China and Hong Kong, BIONICLE: History is the only promotional booklet which features accurate information (but some information is either incorrect or left out) for the entire BIONICLE storyline to be released so far in Hong Kong and China.[citation needed]

The booklet could be obtained for free at the Causeway Bay SOGO and local Toys "R" Us stores in Hong Kong, and was available for free in stores in Russia.

BIONICLE: Glatorian

The BIONICLE: Glatorian mini-guide

The BIONICLE: Glatorian is a fourteen page miniature book released in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Belgium for free. It contains information about Bara Magna and its inhabitants, a short description of the BIONICLE Action Figure Game, a maze in the shape of the Skrall's Seal, as well as an excerpt of Sands of Bara Magna. The last page advertises a contest to write an ending to the comic for a chance to win each of the Glatorian sets.
