"The desert landscape passed in a yellowish blur, all details obscured by the Toa's immense speed. After a moment, the yellowish blur shifted into a brown one punctuated by flashes of green, and then quickly grew paler again until all Pohatu could see around him was white."
— Narrator, Tale of the Toa

Pronunciation kah-KAHM-mah[1]

The Kanohi Kakama is the Mask of Speed.

Powers

The Kakama provides a consistent additive boost to the user's natural speed,[2] allowing them to move and run at incredible speeds on all surfaces, far faster than the eye can follow.[1] The mask also grants the user heightened reflexes to keep up with the increased speed, along with resistance to the friction the increased speed causes.[3][4] During use, the user can reach such heightened speed of perception that their surroundings appear to be frozen or in slow-motion.[5]

On Metru Nui, Kanohi Kakama are made from a combination of Teleport and Reconstitute at Random Kanoka.[6]
