Maglya is a passionate Ta-Matoran lava surfer native to Metru Nui.
Biography
Metru Nui
On Metru Nui, Maglya lived and worked in Ta-Metru. Maglya was captured by the Vahki under the command of Makuta Teridax, disguised as Turaga Dume. He was then forced into a Matoran Sphere but was later rescued by the Toa Metru and transported to the island of Mata Nui.[2][3]
Mata Nui
Maglya was awakened on the shores of Naho Bay on Mata Nui. Despite the fact that his memory had been erased and his size and power diminished by the Matoran Sphere, he assisted in the construction of Ta-Koro, under Turaga Vakama's supervision, using parts from the Airships the Toa Metru had used to transport the Matoran to Mata Nui.[4]
In Ta-Koro, Maglya became a Lava Surfer who participated in the sport of Ignalu Lava Surfing.[5] At some point during Takua's adventures through the island, the Av-Matoran gave his Lavaboard to Maglya for safekeeping. When the amnesiac Matoran later returned to Ta-Koro, Maglya returned the board to him.[6]
Like the other Matoran, Maglya was rebuilt into a stronger form after the defeat of the Bohrok-Kal.[7] During the Rahkshi attack on Ta-Koro, Maglya was evacuated with the rest of the Matoran there.[8][9]
Return to Metru Nui
Following the defeat of the Rahkshi, Maglya helped in the construction of Boats to facilitate his, and the other Matoran's, return to Metru Nui, which was in a dilapidated state.[10] Maglya and other Matoran worked to restore the city, prior to the usage of the Staff of Artakha. He temporarily stopped his work of reconstruction on order of Jaller, to force the Turaga to reveal where the Toa Nuva had gone, but he eventually got back to work.[11]
After the Battle of Bara Magna which culminated in the death of Teridax who had taken over the Matoran Universe, Maglya moved to Spherus Magna with the other Matoran of Metru Nui who had survived the Makuta's reign.[12][13]
Trivia
