The Rahkshi of Heat Vision are a breed of Rahkshi.

Metru Nui

Within the Onu-Metru Archives, a wild Rahkshi of Heat Vision attacked Toa Metru Whenua and Tehutti. To escape the Rahkshi, Whenua released a caged Muaka, and the pair departed as it and the Rahkshi fought.[3]

Rahkshi of Heat Vision fighting the Toa Mahri

After Teridax's takeover of the Matoran Universe, a number of Heat Vision Rahkshi battled the Toa Mahri in Po-Metru.[4][5]

Bara Magna

Teridax created a number of Heat Vision Rahkshi, and enhanced their armor. These Rahkshi joined his army, which he unleashed onto the planet of Bara Magna to deal with its inhabitants. The Rahkshi came into conflict with the Glatorian and succeeded in killing some of them.

After Teridax blasted the Golden Armor over Bara Magna, a group of Heat Vision Rahkshi took a piece of the armor. They attacked Takanuva, who created a hologram Takanuva and sent it in between two of the Rahkshi. The two used their heat vision on the illusion and destroyed one another.

Later, an army came to attack Gresh, Tahu, and Takanuva, but Tahu used the Golden Armor, incinerating the Kraata within all Rahkshi on Bara Magna, and incapacitating the Rahkshi shells.[6]

Rahkshi of Heat Vision using their power

The Rahkshi of Heat Vision are capable of emitting beams of intense heat from their eyes. When Rahkshi of Heat Vision use their powers, their eyesight is greatly hindered for a short time afterwards.[7] They are created when black and bright-orange Kraata of Heat Vision are subjected to Energized Protodermis. An additional Kraata of the same power is needed to operate the resulting robotic Rahkshi.

The Rahkshi of Heat Vision that Teridax deployed to Bara Magna had been modified to sport thicker, light-impervious armor.[6][8]

The Rahkshi of Heat Vision carry Staffs of Heat Vision. These weapons help them maintain their powers, even when they channel them through their eyes rather than through their staff. The staffs also aid the Rahkshi in their flight.[9][10]

The Rahkshi of Heat Vision set

A Rahkshi of Heat Vision from the battle on Bara Magna was released as 7138 Rahkshi in the 2010 BIONICLE Stars line. The set contains eighteen pieces including the shield piece of the Golden Armor. This Rahkshi could be combined with the five other Stars to form Gaardus, the instructions for which were released on BIONICLE.com.

  • The Rahkshi of Heat Vision is the only Rahkshi set that does not include any Kraata.
  • Before the Rahkshi of Heat Vision was released in set form, Kelly McKiernan suggested it be called "Zirahk." Ultimately the set was released under the species name Rahkshi, and the term Zirahk is not known to have been approved by the legal team.[11]
