The Fields of Construction were an area of Po-Metru where important objects and statues were assembled.

History

The Fields of Construction were where all of the products on Metru Nui were constructed. Po-Matoran assembled multiple tools and objects and shipped them off to their destinations. The only things that were not assembled here were transport vehicles, which were assembled in Le-Metru.

When Onewa was given his Toa Stone by Toa Lhikan, he was working in the Fields of Construction.

Some time later, Toa Metru Vakama, Nokama, and Matau arrived in the Fields of Construction via a Vahki Transport, seeking their lost brothers and Toa Lhikan. They wandered through an entirely deserted village and were attacked by Dark Hunters Nidhiki and Krekka; their conflict was then interrupted by a Kikanalo stampede. After Nokama used her mask power to communicate with the Kikanalo, the Toa allied with the Rahi beasts and left the Fields. Nidhiki and Krekka also left the Fields, returning to the Coliseum to consult with Makuta Teridax. All Po-Matoran were soon called out of the Fields to assemble at the Coliseum.

After the Great Cataclysm struck, the Visorak overran the Fields of Construction, rendering its native population of Rock Raptors hostile. Toa Hordika Onewa and Rahaga Pouks traveled through the Fields, where they bypassed a group of Rock Raptors to infiltrate Teridax's Po-Metru Lair. After confronting Krahka, Pouks and Onewa left the Fields to locate the Tahtorak.

Approximately 1,000 years later, the Matoran returned to Metru Nui and began to repopulate it. The Po-Matoran took up work in the Fields once again. Some time later, the Staff of Artakha restored all damage the Fields had incurred in the Great Cataclysm.

Shortly after the Matoran Universe was taken over by Teridax, he sent Nektann and a platoon of Rahkshi of Heat Vision to the Fields of Construction. However, they were met with resistance from the Toa Mahri.

When Teridax was killed in the Battle of Bara Magna, the Fields of Construction were severely damaged, and the Matoran evacuated to Spherus Magna. Later, the Fields of Construction, along with all other locations in the Matoran Universe, were dismantled.
