The Moto-Hub was a major landmark of Le-Metru.
History
This massive structure was where all vehicle designs of Metru Nui were modeled, tested, and approved or disapproved. The landmark made up a large part of the center of Le-Metru, and could be easily seen on maps and aerially due to its size. Because of this, roughly half of the Le-Matoran ended up working in the landmark.
The Moto-Hub also contained many Chute Stations and the Test Track, which was used for testing vehicles for durability. Aside from the main Moto-Hub, there were also numerous mobile Moto-Hubs, several in different Metru.
The Moto-Hub, like the rest of Metru Nui, was severely damaged when a fragment of Aqua Magna struck the head of the Mata Nui Robot during Teridax's battle with Mata Nui. Later, the Moto-Hub, along with all other locations in the Matoran Universe, was dismantled.[1][2]
Significant Locations
Test Track
The Test Track was an obstacle course mounted on top of the main Moto-Hub where new vehicles were tested. Matau frequented the track before he became a Toa Metru. Phase Dragons were known to wander around the tracks. The speed crazed Rahi would chase the many vehicles tested here, phasing through the obstacles that got in the way. It was also here that Matau received his Toa Stone from Lhikan after he crashed the Moto-Sled.
Because it was made to withstand the crashes and possible explosions of numerous vehicles, the Test Track was possibly the sturdiest construct in Le-Metru, and thus sustained little damage during the Great Cataclysm. The Toa Metru were thankful for this when they temporarily took refuge in it from the Visorak. During the Great Rescue, the Toa Metru encountered a Sonic Entity in a part of the Test Track. It was eventually defeated by Matau as he absorbed all the air in the room, effectively nulling its power to create sonic booms when hit with objects, so it could be attacked directly. It was then defeated by an ice blast from Nuju, and afterward the entity shattered and melted away. Later, the Toa Metru were attacked by Vahki and the Lohrak Hordika, but they eventually escaped.
The Test Track had since been restored to its original state by the Staff of Artakha, but was severely damaged along with the rest of Metru Nui after Teridax's death. Later, the Test Track, along with all other locations in the Matoran Universe, was dismantled.[1][2]
