The Sacred Fire was a continuously burning fire that Turaga Vakama purportedly used to divine prophecies. In reality, Vakama used the fire as a cover for the visions that he continued to receive as a Turaga, though the fire did help him concentrate.

History

Vakama created the Sacred Fire in his hut in Ta-Koro and maintained it during the Great War to reassure the Ta-Matoran. When Hahli and Macku won the kolhii championship, they and Vakama gathered around the sacred fire for the Turaga to congratulate them.

After the Search for the Seventh Toa, Vakama and the Matoran returned to Metru Nui, where he set up another Sacred Fire in his dwelling.

The original location of the Sacred Fire was destroyed by the reawakened Bohrok swarms, and after the destruction of the Matoran Universe, so was the Metru Nui Sacred Fire. Vakama may have established another Sacred Fire on Spherus Magna.
