BIONICLE Legends is the third book series based on the BIONICLE universe. It covered the events that occurred in the storyline's 2006 - 2007 - 2008 story arc. It follows the BIONICLE Adventures series, but as Adventures is almost exclusively told in flashbacks, the events preceding those in Legends are told in the first book series, BIONICLE Chronicles.

Cancelled Novel
BIONICLE Legends: Invasion was originally planned to be the seventh Legends novel, meant to tell the story of the Toa Inika's trip down the Cord. However, it was canceled due to a rescheduling.[1] 6,000 words, or one third of the book was completed prior to cancellation.[2][3] Included in the book was the following:
- Vezon helping to reform the Spear of Fusion with its own power, only for it to be burned to ashes by Jaller,[4][5]
- A confrontation with a tribe of Zyglak,[6][7]
- A scene where Vezon slammed Matoro's head into a wall,[8][9]
- Vezon being taken by the Zyglak,[10][11]
- Hahli being injured in a battle,[12][13]
- Teridax possessing Matoro while the latter was using his Iden, and attempting to corrupt the Toa,[14][15]
- Teridax stealing Hahli's Elda to avoid detection by her,[16]
- Hewkii being the first to realize Teridax possessed Matoro's body,[17][18]
- Teridax later being forced out by the other Toa Inika who threatened to kill Matoro's body, allowing Matoro to return to it,[15]
- The relationship between the Zyglak and krana,[19][20][21][22][7]
- Information about the Toa they would have preferred not to face, such as how far they were willing to go in a crisis and the price of the Toa Code.[12][13][23]
After it was revealed that the novel was cancelled, there were some plans that an abbreviated version would be published on the Lego website, which ultimately fell through.[24][25] Following this, BZPower attempted to work with Greg Farshtey to release the novel in a serialized format on their website, but they needed Greg to commit to completing the story, which he could not do due to his work schedule.[26][27] However, the prologue was forwarded to them, and although the rest of the completed manuscript has been lost, the introduction was later recovered by the fan site Wall of History.[28][29][30] The events that were to occur in the novel were later described in the LEGO Magazine[31][22] and BIONICLE: Encyclopedia Updated instead.
