Tuuli is a Le-Matoran native to Metru Nui.
Biography
Metru Nui
Tuuli lived in Le-Metru and worked in the Control area of Chute Stations, monitoring the progress of Matoran in Chutes and watching for traffic.[2] While Toa Metru Matau was searching for Orkahm, Tuuli informed the Toa of the Le-Matoran's behavior at the time and that his cart was around there if the Toa wished to inspect it.[3]
Tuuli was later captured by the Vahki on the orders of Makuta Teridax, disguised as Turaga Dume, and subsequently placed in a Matoran Sphere. He was later rescued by the Toa Metru and awakened on the beach of Naho Bay.[4][5]
Mata Nui
Tuuli was physically shrunken and lost memories of his previous life as a consequence of being held in a Matoran Sphere. Early in the Dark Time, Tuuli worked alongside his fellow Matoran to construct the village of Le-Koro, led by Matau and making use of melted-down pieces from Airships which the Toa had utilized in transporting the Matoran to Mata Nui.[6] Tuuli became a Trader at the village.[7]
Tuuli evaded capture during an initial attack by the Nui-Rama on the village. When the Nui-Rama returned, he mounted a Kewa and accompanied Kongu into battle against them. Eventually, Toa Mata Onua arrived and helped free the captured Le-Matoran. They then returned to Le-Koro.[8]
While the Matoran fought against the Bohrok, Tuuli was among the Le-Matoran to be captured by the Bohrok and have their masks replaced by krana.[9] The krana were eventually removed as a result of an ambush by Kongu, Tamaru, Takua, and the Boxors operated by Onu-Matoran.[10]
During the Rebuilding, Tuuli was rebuilt into a stronger form.[11]
Return to Metru Nui
Tuuli later helped in the construction of boats to facilitate the Matoran's return to Metru Nui.[3] Immediately after reaching Metru Nui, Tuuli and the other Matoran commenced with work to restore the dilapidated city. He temporarily stopped his work of reconstruction on order of Jaller, to force the Turaga to reveal where the Toa Nuva had gone, but he eventually got back to work.[12]
During the Battle of Bara Magna, the Mata Nui Robot sustained severe damage, which caused internal systems such as light and gravity to malfunction. As a result of this, Tuuli and other surviving Matoran left the Matoran Universe to live on Spherus Magna.[13][14]
Trivia
