A Trader is a Matoran that buys and sells items and supplies.

This occupation is held by Matoran from all areas of the Matoran Universe, and often required them to travel from one area to another. One such Matoran was the Le-Matoran Defilak who visited Metru Nui to sell his wares.

Traders from different locations often specialized in certain types of items and supplies. On the island of Mata Nui, the Matoran of the various Koro bought and sold items in their native village that would primarily benefit its inhabitants. Occasionally, these Traders travelled abroad and set up makeshift vending stalls in other Koro, especially in Onu-Koro, in the Onu-Koro Bazaar.
