Kumo is a Le-Matoran native to Metru Nui.

Biography

Metru Nui

Kumo resided and worked in Le-Metru prior to the Great Cataclysm. He was captured by the Vahki under the command of Makuta Teridax, disguised as Turaga Dume. He was then forced into a Matoran Sphere but was later rescued by the Toa Metru and awakened on the shores of Naho Bay on the island of Mata Nui.[2][3]

Mata Nui

Despite being weakened by imprisonment in a Matoran Sphere, Kumo took part in the construction of Le-Koro under Turaga Matau, with recycled pieces from the Airships that the Toa used to travel to the island.[4]

Kumo was said to be the best Le-Matoran Disk maker in Le-Koro. Some of the Disks he created were used in the Disk range, which Tamaru tended to, while others were supplied to the Gukko Bird Force. He sold his Disks for five Bamboo Wood apiece.[5]

During the Great War, Kumo and many other Le-Matoran were abducted by the Nui-Rama, though they were later rescued by their fellow Le-Matoran and Onua.[6]

Kumo had his mask stolen and replaced with a krana when the Bohrok attacked Le-Koro. Following their defeat by the Boxors, all of the Le-Matoran had their masks restored.[7]

After the threat of the Bohrok-Kal was subdued, Kumo was rebuilt with the other Matoran.[8]

Return to Metru Nui

Kumo later assisted in building Boats so the Matoran could return to Metru Nui.[9] When they reached the city, all the Matoran, including Kumo, commenced with the work required to restore Metru Nui. He temporarily stopped his work of reconstruction on order of Jaller, to force the Turaga to reveal where the Toa Nuva had gone, but he eventually got back to work.[10]

Kumo later left Metru Nui to live on Spherus Magna, consequent to the Battle of Bara Magna in which the Great Spirit Robot was heavily damaged.[11][12]
