"Phantom" is a Dark Hunter and a former Nynrah Ghost.

Biography

Phantom was a Matoran, previously a member of the group of Matoran Crafters known as the Nynrah Ghosts. The Matoran of Nynrah felt that there was a need for a hero, seeing as the island had no Toa, and he was chosen as a part of a rebuilding project. After many experiments, including exposure to an Energized Protodermis variant, Phantom gained a variety of new powers and abilities. However, the Matoran of the island were frightened and ashamed of what they had done, and shunned him.

Disheartened and without purpose, he was recruited by the Dark Hunters. He is dispatched on few missions, due to his conscience.

After the Mata Nui Robot was critically damaged in the Battle of Bara Magna, Phantom survived, and he emigrated from the Matoran Universe to Spherus Magna.

Abilities and Traits

As a result of the experiments done to him, Phantom has the powers of increased strength, limited flight, dramatically improved eyesight, and the ability to become invisible.

Phantom does not truly believe in the Dark Hunter ideals, as he still harbors good morals and judgment, making him only partially useful to the Shadowed One.

After his mutation, Phantom's crafting skills remained as good as when he was a Matoran.

Trivia

• Phantom was created by an unknown fan and sent in to the LEGO Magazine Dark Hunter Building Contest. He was given a storyline role by Greg Farshtey and was set to feature in BIONICLE: Dark Hunters but was cut from the book; furthermore, he did not appear in the LEGO BrickMaster Magazine as his picture could not be found. Thus, he is only mentioned in a dedicated entry in BIONICLE: Encyclopedia Updated.
• Phantom was still a member of the Nynrah Ghosts when they experimented on Gaardus.
