Akamu is an Onu-Matoran native to Metru Nui.

Biography

Metru Nui

On Metru Nui, Akamu lived and worked in Onu-Metru.

He was captured by the Vahki under the command of Makuta Teridax, disguised as Turaga Dume. He was then forced into a Matoran Sphere but was later rescued by the Toa Metru and awakened on the shores of Naho Bay on the island of Mata Nui.[3][4]

Mata Nui

Akamu was physically diminished in size and strength and he also forgot his memories of Metru Nui, as a result of his confinement in a Matoran Sphere. In spite of this, under Turaga Whenua, he helped in the construction of Onu-Koro, utilizing materials from Airships used to transport the Matoran to Mata Nui.[5]

In Onu-Koro, Akamu was a Crafter who created the Sluice, a tool used to collect Protodermis.[6] He and the other Onu-Matoran left Onu-Koro temporarily when Bohrok invaded.[7] During The Rebuilding, Akamu was rebuilt into a stronger form.[8] When the Rahkshi attacked Onu-Koro, Akamu was evacuated from the village with the other Matoran.[9][10]

Return to Metru Nui

Akamu aided in the construction of Boats to return to Metru Nui.[11] Upon arrival, he joined his fellow Matoran in a mass reconstruction effort, to repair the city which had been damaged during the Dark Time. He temporarily stopped his work of reconstruction on order of Jaller, to force the Turaga to reveal where the Toa Nuva had gone, but he eventually got back to work.[12]

Akamu and the other remaining Matoran in the city later left for Spherus Magna, following the Battle of Bara Magna which concluded in the death of Teridax, rendering the Mata Nui Robot incapacitated.[13][14]
