"I am constantly taking care of the sculptures, so that they do not Disintegrate! Time and weather take their toll on our great works, wearing them down into dust. The enemy of Creation is Disintegration!"

Kamen is a Po-Matoran native to Metru Nui.

Biography

Metru Nui

On Metru Nui, Kamen lived and worked in Po-Metru. He was captured by the Vahki under the command of Makuta Teridax, disguised as Turaga Dume. He was then forced into a Matoran Sphere but was later rescued by the Toa Metru and awakened on the shores of Naho Bay on the island of Mata Nui.[2][3]

Mata Nui

Shortly after the Matoran's arrival on Mata Nui, Kamen assisted in the construction of Po-Koro, using materials from the recycled Airships that the Toa had brought the Matoran to Mata Nui in.[4]

In Po-Koro, Kamen became a Stone Mason. It was his duty to make sure all of the carvings in Po-Koro did not disintegrate or begin to wear away. After ages of display, erosion had its effect from the harsh winds of the Motara Desert, so Kamen made sure the stones did not crack or erode.[5]

Kamen was among the Matoran that were evacuated to Ga-Koro after Tahnok swarms overwhelmed Po-Koro during the attacks of the Bohrok. When the Pahrak swarms besieged Ga-Koro, Kamen faced up to their attack along with all the other Matoran present prior the Bahrag being defeated by the Toa Mata. He later returned with his fellow Matoran to Po-Koro.[6][7][8] Following the defeat of the Bohrok-Kal, Kamen was rebuilt into more able form.[9]

Return to Metru Nui

Kamen helped to build boats to facilitate his and the other Matoran's return to Metru Nui.[10] He also helped reconstruct the part of the city that had been damaged as a result of the Great Cataclysm. He temporarily stopped his work of reconstruction on order of Jaller, to force the Turaga to reveal where the Toa Nuva had gone, but he eventually got back to work.[11]

After Makuta Teridax was defeated, the Matoran left the city for Spherus Magna.[12][13]

Trivia
