Pekka is a Po-Matoran native to Metru Nui.

Biography

Metru Nui

On Metru Nui, Pekka lived and worked in Po-Metru. He was captured by the Vahki under the command of Makuta Teridax, disguised as Turaga Dume. He was then forced into a Matoran Sphere but was later rescued by the Toa Metru and awakened on the shores of Naho Bay on the island of Mata Nui.[2][3]

Mata Nui

Pekka reduced in size and strength and he also suffered the loss of his memories of Metru Nui, because of his confinement in a Matoran Sphere. In spite of this, he took part in the construction of Po-Koro, which was led by Turaga Onewa and utilized parts from the recycled Airships which the Toa had to use to convey the Matoran in.[4]

In Po-Koro, Pekka became a Carpenter.[5] Pekka was, like the other Po-Matoran, evacuated to Ga-Koro after Tahnok swarms attacked Po-Koro. As the Pahrak swarms beset Ga-Koro, Pekka made a final defense against them along with all the other Matoran present before the Bahrag were defeated by the Toa Mata, causing the Bohrok to be rendered harmless and the conclusion of the Bohrok Invasion. Along with the other Po-Matoran, he departed for Po-Koro shortly after.[6][7][8] Pekka was rebuilt into a stronger form after the defeat of the Bohrok-Kal.[9]

Return to Metru Nui

Pekka helped to construct boats needed to facilitate his and the other Matoran's return to Metru Nui.[10] Once they had arrived in the city, all the Matoran, including Pekka, began rebuilding the city, which had suffered damage during the Dark Time. He temporarily stopped his work of reconstruction on order of Jaller, to force the Turaga to reveal where the Toa Nuva had gone, but he eventually got back to work.[11]

Pekka later left the city to live on Spherus Magna after damage suffered by the Great Spirit Robot during the Battle of Bara Magna made it impossible to live in there.[12][13]
