The Masks of Water are Masks of Power which hold the element of Water.

History

The Creature Mask of Water came into existence with Akida during the creation of Okoto.

During Okoto's golden age, Ekimu created the Protector Mask of Water, which was passed down among the Protectors of the Water Tribe. After learning of the coming disaster, Ekimu bid Protector Owaki retrieve an Elemental Crystal from Akida, with which he forged the Golden Mask of Water. The Golden Mask of Water was hidden in the Water Shrine in the Region of Water.

Gali wore the Mask of Water when she arrived on Okoto 1,000 years later. Protector Kivoda guided her to the Water Shrine, where she retrieved the Golden Mask of Water. Later, Kulta destroyed the Golden Mask of Water with the Mask Stealer Staff.

After being awoken by the Toa, Ekimu forged the Unity Mask of Water for Gali. Gali sought out Akida's temple and retrieved the Golden Unity Mask of Water, which allowed her to unite with Akida.

Versions

Different versions of the Mask of Water exist. Each mask provides the user some measure of control over water.

Set Information

A 14 karat gold version of the Mask of Water was displayed at New York Comic Con 2014.

The Protector Mask of Water was released in 70780 Protector of Water, and the Mask of Water and the Golden Mask of Water were released in 70786 Gali - Master of Water in the winter wave of 2015. A trans-dark blue version of the Mask of Water was released as a tour exclusive.

The Creature Mask of Water was released in 71302 Akida Creature of Water, and the Unity Mask of Water and the Golden Unity Mask of Water were released in 71307 Gali Uniter of Water in the winter wave of 2016.
