Plot Summary

Toa Nuva Gali, having been defeated in early battle with Makuta Krika, is carried deeper into the swamp by Krika, where he tells Gali to leave Karda Nui because if the Toa Nuva awaken Mata Nui, they will be doomed to live a horrible future. Takanuva arrives and saves Gali and Krika retreats into the swamp.

Later, when the Toa Nuva, Takanuva, and Toa Ignika get together to discuss what to do next, Takanuva tells them all that when Mata Nui awakens a energy storm will destroy everything in Karda Nui. The seven Toa and the Ignika then launch one last massive strike on the Makuta, in which Lewa and Gali create a thunderstorm and Takanuva adds his Light powers to the battle.

Spotting an opening in the battle, Tahu puts the six Keystones into the Codrex. With the protective shield down, the Toa Nuva fly inside the Codrex. Just before Tahu puts the shield back up, Antroz slips in unnoticed. The Toa Nuva end up in a room with machinery and six depressions in the floor, and Kopaka realizes that they must have been kept here in their Toa Canisters. Onua then pushes a button on a control board, which makes the floor of the Codrex lower.

At the bottom of the Codrex, three silver bubbles rise up and break to reveal the Rockoh T3, the Jetrax T6, and the Axalara T9. Kopaka is about to board the Jetrax, but Antroz flies down and steals the vehicle from the Toa of Ice, using the vehicle to act as his "eyes". Pohatu, with the Rockoh T3, and Lewa, with the Axalara T9, chase Antroz with the super charged Jetrax T6 through a maze of tunnels inside the Codrex.

Pohatu tries to stop the Jetrax T6 with Stone spikes and a stone hand, but Antroz dodges them all and shoots down Pohatu with the Jetrax's Midak Skyblasters. Lewa pilots the Axalara T9 into a showdown with the Jetrax T6 and tells Antroz that only one of them will survive this fight. Antroz then tells Lewa to come to his death.
