Nokama Famed for being a great fisherwoman, Nokama moves quickly and easily through water. She is the protector of the legend of Gali and is Turaga of the village of water.

Set Information

The set packaging

The Nokama set was released in 2001 as one of the six Turaga sets. The set consists of 28 pieces, including a spare rubber band.

An identical promotional set, 1419 Nokama, was released by the Kabaya Foods Corporation in Japan in 2001 as one of four Turaga. The set was packaged in a polybag, which in turn was packaged inside a box alongside a small bag of candy. The box titled the set as Turaga Nokama (トゥラガ　ノカマ) and labeled it as set #4 out of #4. The set was packaged in a polybag, which in turn was packaged inside a box alongside a small bag of candy. The 1419 release of the set was labeled as 6+, rather than 7+ like 8543.

By combining pieces from Nokama with 8540 Vakama, 8541 Matau, 8542 Onewa, 8544 Nuju, and 8545 Whenua, one can build a Turaga Nui, though official instructions were never released. The Kabaya version of Nokama was also advertised as combining with 1417 Vakama, 1418 Matau, and 1420 Nuju to create one of three possible combiners. Only one of these combiners has instructions provided.

The set was included in 65025 BIONICLE Mata Nui Collector Pack, K8531 Ultimate Toa and Turaga Collectors Kit, K8533 Find the Power Kit, and KC501 Turaga Collector's Kit, and could be included randomly packaged in K8532 Ultimate Toa Collection Kit.

Features

A lever is present on Nokama's back, connected to her right arm, so lowering it causes her to lift her Trident. The arm is automatically lowered due to a rubber band connecting the lever to her neck.

Nokama wears a medium blue Noble Rau.

Reception

The set's score on Brick Insights across its two iterations (8543 and 1419) indicates poor reviews.
