Nuparu firing his Laser Drill

The Laser Drill, also known as the Blaster Drill, was Toa Inika Nuparu's Toa Tool. It could be used to channel Nuparu's Earth powers, and it was able to shoot out high-powered laser beams that could blast holes in solid objects. When Nuparu was transformed into a Toa Mahri, the Laser Drill was transformed into the Razor-Edged Protosteel Shield and Aqua Blaster Blade by the Ignika's power.

Example Usage

Nuparu used his Laser Drill to fire chunks of electrified earth at a group of Nektann in Power Play.

Set Information

The Laser Drill was released in Summer 2006, included in the Toa Inika Nuparu set. A transparent red beam piece attached to the top represented a laser beam. By pressing a black button on the side of the Laser Drill, a red strobe light running along the center of the drill could be activated for a short time.
