Summary

Nocturn swims after a Barraki who ignored him, intending to teach him a lesson. Seeing that the Pit is closed while it was open, he is enraged that someone is trying to hide something from him. He pulls it open, accidentally freeing Kalmah and Takadox, who are fleeing from Zyglak who were hiding inside. Takadox tricks Nocturn into thinking that the Zyglak insulted him, so Nocturn attacks the creatures, to Kalmah's disgust. The two Barraki leave to look for the Mask of Life.

Meanwhile, Dekar tries to destroy the Ignika, which suddenly shines brightly, but Kalmah stops him. The Kanohi Ignika then enlarges a Venom Eel to a gigantic size, and it heads to Mahri Nui, throwing Dekar and Kalmah out of the way.

Pridak, Carapar, and Ehlek arrive and attack Dekar, who threatens to destroy the mask, which stops the squids the Barraki send by devolving them. The Barraki surround Dekar and Ehlek shocks the Po-Matoran into dropping the mask. Pridak then grabs the mask triumphantly, foretelling universe-wide destruction, but the Ignika sends out an enormous energy wave which throws the Barraki off guard, illuminates the whole area, and changes the Toa Inika into the Toa Mahri.
