The Hydro Blades were Toa Nokama's Toa Tools, which were used to channel her Elemental Water powers, as well as for melee combat. They could also help her swim through the Protodermis canals of Metru Nui by pulling her along. The Hydro Blades could additionally be spun to create a shield. Upon taking them from the Toa Suva, Nokama described them as having perfect balance.

These tools were transformed into Fin Barbs when Nokama was mutated into a Toa Hordika, and were later turned back into their original form when she, along with the other Toa Hordika, were cured by Keetongu. She later abandoned them when she became a Turaga, and instead uses her Trident as a Badge of Office. What happened to the tools afterwards is unknown.

Nokama used these tools to hook onto a nearby building in Legends of Metru Nui.

Set Information

The Hydro Blades were introduced in set form in the Toa Nokama set in 2004. They were able to bend slightly, and they could be attached to pins on Nokama's back for storage.
