The Hydro Blades were Toa Nokama's Toa Tools.

These tools were transformed into Fin Barbs when Nokama was mutated into a Toa Hordika, and were later turned back into their original form when she, along with the other Toa Hordika, were cured by Keetongu. She later abandoned them when she became a Turaga, and instead uses her Trident as a Badge of Office. What happened to the tools afterwards is unknown.

Functionality

The Hydro Blades were used to channel Nokama's Elemental Water powers, as well as for melee combat. They could also help her swim through the Protodermis canals of Metru Nui by pulling her along either on the surface or below it. The Hydro Blades could additionally be spun to create a shield. Upon taking them from the Toa Suva, Nokama described them as having perfect balance.

Nokama used these tools to hook onto a nearby building and also spun them as a shield in Legends of Metru Nui. She used Hydro Blades to skii across the surface of the canal and swim through the pipes, in order to quickly get to stranded Vhisola in Nokama's Toa Metru Mini Promo CD and BIONICLE Adventures 1: Mystery of Metru Nui.

Set Information

The Hydro Blades were introduced in set form in the Toa Nokama set in 2004. They were able to bend slightly, and they could be attached to pins on Nokama's back for storage.
