The Crystal Spikes were Toa Metru Nuju's Toa Tools.

They were later mutated into Hordika Teeth when Nuju became a Toa Hordika. They were transformed back into their original form when Keetongu cured Nuju along with the other Toa Hordika. When Nuju became a Turaga, they were transformed into the Ice Pick which Nuju currently uses as his Badge of Office.

Functionality

The Crystal Spikes were used as ice picks, snowshoes, melee weapons, and tools to channel Nuju's Ice powers.

Example Usage

A Crystal Spike in Legends of Metru Nui

Toa Nuju used his Crystal Spikes to latch on to the Knowledge Tower so that he could retrieve the Great Disk of Ko-Metru in Legends of Metru Nui.

Set Information

The Crystal Spikes were released in set form in spring 2004 as part of the Toa Nuju set. Two black pins attached to each allowed them to attach to Nuju's feet as snowshoes.
