Notice
Attention all BS01-ers!
All right, I know that I haven't been active in, like, forever. Since April. And even those few edits in between were pitiful talk page edits. But let me explain.
I had a lot of stuff going on at the end of last school year. And by the way - awesome year. And then my summer was jam packed. I mean, seriously. I had a week-long leadership training summer camp for Boy Scouts, a week in Hawaii with my family, and then two weeks with my High Adventure crew (that's a program within Boy Scouts for each troop geared for higher physical challenges) backpacking at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. Best time of my life. Ever. Unfortunately, since I was out of town so much, the rest of the summer was also backed up with excessive, working-all-day-every-day-until-the-last-day summer homework for A.P. classes. And even this school year has been very time-consuming and labor-intensive about half the week.
But I need to come back. I need to be active with my peers here on BS01, at least to the best of my ability, and that school will allow. So hold on to your Kanohi! TEH NUP IS BACK IN TEH BUSINESS!!!11!1!! I'm off to go make my first real edit in a while now, no matter how inconsequential (as they always were :P) it may be... >>
Oh, and by the way, I need to catch up with all you guys. Everybody, be ye Bossman (Swert), Mod (yes, that includes you, Dorek and Kraa), or absolutely any other friend of mine, you need to post on my quick-speak and tell me what's been going on. I miss all of you guys a lot. It's mean a lot to me, really. Thanks, and Nup out!

Who Am I?

Hello, to whoseoever may stumble upon this webpage, I am Nuparu1995. Some of you may know me as Nup, a nickname coined by my good friend Shadonix. Some may recognize my alter-ego, Rayku, Toa of the Green and PGS in Shadonix's Comics on BZPower. I hold many jobs here on BS01 Wiki, including FS Substitute, membership of Operation: Restore All Content, and a Writer for Akilini Enterprises. I am 15 years old, am a sophomore in high school, and live in coastal Southern California. I am also left-handed, which both amazes people (I don't know why), and makes it very hard, as I have to do many things backwards. This includes shooting on an archery range and having to turn around the mat at a driving range. And then there's how there's always a huge smear of graphite across my school papers, and how the side of my hand is a shiny gray after I write. >< The things that I enjoy best to pass the time are golf, swimming, running (even though I suck at it), and reading. I am also a huge fan of Harry Potter. :D In the future I hope to go to Pepperdine or UCLA to get a Doctorate in American History. After that I hope to stay in California, either in my hometown, Malibu, or Santa Barbara as a Professor of American History. It's a job based on memorization, requires good communication skills, and makes six figures. ;) I thought editing BS01 would be a fun thing to do, and joined this wiki on November 6th, 2008. Many people know me well, and I have many friends. As for being a good editor, well... no comment. >> And, so...yeah...here I am. :P Feel free to bask in the glory of my über-awesome userpage.

Cheers!

My Bionicle Fandom History

Bionicle was my life, is my life, and will continue to be my life in the forseeable future. I even shed quite a few tears when I read Matoro's Final Moments, when I learned of Bionicle's end, and when I read the last comic. (Fortunately, I was alone in my room, so I had no embarrassment issues to worry about.) I have been a fan of Bionicle since the line was first introduced, and ever since then I've been hooked. It all started one day in fall 2001 when my mom and I went to McDonald's because we had no time to eat at home for dinner. I was 6 years old at the time, and therefore very impressionable, and saw that they were giving away the Bionicle Tohunga toys in the Happy Meals and thought they looked kinda cool. So I got Kongu, loved him, and saw there was a whole new toy line of them. It's all one big blurr from thereon. Sooooo, yeah...that's basically my life's story. Some people don't completely approve of me being a Bionicle fanatic *cough* mom and dad *cough* (What!? I didn't say anything!) ;-), but I think it is an amazing thing to pass the time and has become much of a hobby for me. I am often ridiculed for my interest in Bionicle, some people even going so far as to say it is unhealthy. Sometimes I even think of myself as madly obsessed with Bionicle, and that the hundreds of dollars spent on sets over the years is ridiculous, but I know in the end it's all worthwhile. As far as I'm concerned, I see no point in the distant future when I'll give up on Bionicle.

Viva la Bionicle!

The Raven

By Edgar Allan Poe

The true horror story.

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of someone gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
"'Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door -
Only this and nothing more."

Ah, I distinctly remember it was in the bleak December,
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow; - vainly I had sought to borrow
From my books a surcease of sorrow - sorrow for the lost Lenore -
For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels named Lenore -
Nameless here forevermore.

And the silken sad uncertain rustling of each purple curtain
Thrilled me - filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;
So that now, to the still beating of my heart, I stood repeating
"'Tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door -
Some late visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door; -
This it is, and nothing more.

Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating no longer,
"Sir," said I, "or madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;
But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,
And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door; -
That I scarce was sure I heard you." - here I opened wide the door; -
Darkness there, and nothing more.

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before
But the silence was unbroken, and the darkness gave no token,
And the only word here spoken was the whispered word, "Lenore!"
This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, "Lenore!"
Merely this, and nothing more.

Back into the chamber turning, all my soul within me burning,
Soon again there came a tapping somewhat louder than before.
"Surely," said I, "surely that is something at my window lattice;
Let me see then, what thereat is, and this mystery explore -
Let my heart be still a moment and this mystery explore; -
'Tis the wind, and nothing more!"

Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter
In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore.
Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he;
But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door -
Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door -
Perched, and sat, and nothing more.

Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore,
"Though thy crest is short and shaven, thou," I said, "art sure no craven.
Ghastly grim and ancient raven wandering from the nightly shore -
Tell me what thy lordly is on the Night's Plutonian shore!
Quoth the raven, "Nevermore."

Much I marvelled this ungainly fowl to hear discourse so plainly,
Though is answer little meaning - little relevancy bore;
For we cannot help agreeing that no living human being
Ever yet was blessed with seeing bird above his chamber door -
Bird or beast above the sculptured bust above his chamber door,
With such name as "Nevermore."

But the raven, sitting lonely on the placid bust, spoke only,
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Nothing further then he uttered - not a feather then he fluttered -
Till I scarcely more than muttered, "Other friends have flown before -
On the morrow he will leave me as my hopes have flown before."
Then the bird said, "Nevermore."

Startled at the stillness broken by reply so aptly spoken,
"Doubtless," said I, "what it utters is its only stock and store,
Caught from some unhappy master whom unmerciful disaster
followed fast and followed faster till his songs one burden bore -
Till the dirges of his hope that melancholy burden bore
Of "Never-nevermore."

But the raven still beguiling all my sad soul into smiling,
Straight I wheeled a cushioned seat in front of bird and bust and door;
Then, upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking
Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore
Meant in croaking "Nevermore."

I sat engaged in guessing, but no syllable expressing
To the fowl whose fiery eyes now burned into my bosom's core:
This and more I sat divining, with my head at ease reclining
On the cushion's velvet lining that the lamp-light gloated o'er,
But whose velvet violet lining with the lamp-light gloating o'er,
She shall press, ah, nevermore!

Then, methought, the air grew denser, perfumed from an unseen censer
Swung by Seraphim whose foot-falls tinkled on the tufted floor.
"Wretch," I cried, "thy God hath lent thee - by these angels he has sent thee
Respite - respite and nepenthe from thy memories of Lenore!
Quaff, oh wuaff this kind nepenthe, and forget this lost Lenore!"
Quoth he raven, "Nevermore."

"Prophet!" said I, "Thing of evil! - prophet still, if bird or devil! -
Whether tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore,
Desolate yet all un daunted, on this desert land enchanted -
On on this home by horror haunted - tell me truly, I implore -
Is there - is there balm in Gil'ead? - tell me - tell me, I implore!"
Quoth the raven, "Nevermore."

"Prophet!" said I, "Thing of evil! - prophet still, if bird of devil!
By that Heaven that bends above us - by that God we both adore -
Tell this soul with sorrow laden if , within the distant Aidenn,
It shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels named Lenore -
Clasp a rare and radiant maiden whom the angels named Lenore?"
Quoth the raven, "Nevermore."

"Be that word our sign of parting, bird or fiend!" I shrieked upstarting -
Get thee back into the tempest and the Night's Plutonian shore!
Leave no black plume as a token of the lie thy soul hath spoken!
Leave my lonliness unbroken - quit the bust above my door!
Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!"
Quoth the raven, "Nevermore."

And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming,
And the lamp-light o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted...nevermore!

My Favorite Songs

Many kids my age are completely obsessed with music, and will strut into school blasting it on their iPods so loud it can be heard loud and clear 10 feet away...from outside the speakers, and they actually have developed hearing loss!. I, for one, am (thankfully) not one of those stupid people. I love music, but I am reasonable with how loud I listen to it. (Whew!) And don't push me any rap or hip-hop (except for Chris Brown or Kanye West; they're meh), or I will most likely have projectile vomiting right in your presence. Believe me, its not a pretty sight! My Favorite Movies

I have always have had a good taste in cinema, as it is entertaining and is a great way to pass the time. Here are a few of my film favorites:

  • The Bionicle movies (Obviously!)
  • The Home Alone series (Just the first and second ones. The third and fourth ones are terrible!)
  • The Harry Potter movies (Especially the new one!)
  • The Lord of the Rings movies
  • The Godfather series
  • Forrest Gump
  • I am Legend
  • Tombstone
  • Catch Me if you Can
  • The Sandlot
  • The Shawshank Redemption (A truly inspiring story.)
  • 50 First Dates
  • Dodgeball
  • Wayne's World
  • Braveheart
  • The Dark Knight
  • Gran Torino
  • Starsky and Hutch
  • Schindler's List
  • Back to the Future
  • Jaws
  • The Star Wars series
  • The Indiana Jones series (Except the newest one.)
  • The Pirates of the Caribbean series
  • Iron Man
  • The Spiderman series
  • Monty Python and the Holy Grail
  • Elf
  • Wall-E
  • The Incredibles
  • The Cast-Away
  • Transformers
  • Paul Blart: Mall Cop
  • X-Men Origins: Wolverine
  • Avatar
  • Sherlock Holmes

Seriously. Avavtar has awesome graphics. Defeinitely worth the 10 years it took to make. The movies I wish the most I could live out are the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. The funniest movie I've ever seen by far has to be Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The Black Knight always triumphs!

My Favorite Video Games

I'm not much of a gamer (I haven't turned on a single game in two months), and I hate those games where the only objective is to vaporize someone with some sort of furutistic gun. Bleegggghh! >_< However, I do like the fun and classic games that people of all ages can enjoy. Here are a few of my personal favorites:

  • Bionicle Heroes
  • Bionicle: The Game
  • Lego Star Wars: The Video Game
  • Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy
  • Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
  • Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures
  • Lego Batman: The Video Game
  • Rock Band 2
  • M.X. Versus A.T.V. Untamed
  • Forza Motorsport 2
  • Mario Party 4
  • Mario Party D.S.
  • Super Mario Brothers D.S.
  • Mario Kart D.S.
  • Mario Kart Double Dash
  • Transformers: Autobots
