The set packaging

The set was released in Summer 2008 as part of the "Mistika" line. The set contains contains 60 pieces.

Parts from Gali can also be combined with parts from 8689 Toa Tahu and 8690 Toa Onua to create Trinuma.

The set was included in K8688 Mistika Collection, K8942 The Ultimate BIONICLE Collection, and 66272 Costco Co-Pack A, and 3 copies of the set were included in 4529066 BIONICLE Mistika Red/Blue Asst..

Features

The set includes a Nynrah Ghost Blaster and 2 gunmetal gray ammunition pieces.

Several of the smaller 2008 figures can be mounted on Gali's back, though the set is adverised as combining with 8944 Tanma.

The back of the canister featured the B.I.O code ALI327.

Collectibles

Gali wears a dark blue Adaptive Kaukau Nuva.

Trivia

  • A prototype of this set was shown at New York Toy Fair during 2008, and used the shield piece from 8690 Toa Onua and 8696 Bitil attached to the technic connector on the back of the figure. It is unknown if this piece was an intentional part of the prototype and removed in favor of the combination gimmick, or if the figure was assembled incorrectly.
