Set Information

The Solek set was released in winter 2008 as one of six Matoran sets. The set consists of 14 pieces.

Features

Solek can be attached to the back of 8686 Toa Kopaka, 8689 Toa Tahu, or any other canister sets released in 2008.

Collectibles

Solek wears a white Noble Kanohi Akaku.

Reception

In August 2015, user Starparu made a topic on the TTV Channel forum denouncing 8945 Solek as "the worst G1 Bionicle set". Starparu criticized 8945 Solek for its simplified build and lack of articulation (traits shared by the other small sets of 2008), as well as its particularly bland color scheme and its rendition of the Noble Akaku.

On August 17, 2015, the Three Virtues Channel listed 8945 Solek as #1 among the "Top Ten Worst BIONICLE Sets" for many of the same reasons.
