The set was released in Summer 2008 as part of the "Mistika" line. The set contains 51 pieces.

Parts from Bitil can be combined with parts from 8694 Krika and 8695 Gorast to create a Swamp Stalker.

The set was included in K8688 Mistika Collection and 66274 Costco Co-Pack C. and 3 copies of the set were included in 4529070 BIONICLE Mistika Black/Yellow.

Features

The set includes a Nynrah Ghost Blaster and 2 lime green ammunition pieces.

Several of the smaller 2008 figures can be mounted on Bitil's back, though the set is advertised as combining with 8948 Gavla.
