Prototypes
Hi Toa Jala! I see you uploading prototype Kanohi pictures. So how about to start joint task of adding all prototypes of bionicles? I have all sources of all prototypes, we just need to upload them on BS01. You can upload all of Kanohi pictures(I'll give you the links if you need them). Also you can help me adding any other prototypes, not only Kanohi. What do you think about it? -- 20:48, 4 March 2016 (CET)
Re: Prototypes
Firstly. I know these covers are not prototypes(and I already have requested deletion of the BL6 image), but original BL2 is literally a prototype! Look at Piraka, especially at Reidak and Avak's faces - they all are prototypes! What about the Voya Nui Matoran - they were in the same magazine with the Piraka and "Igniters" prototypes. But if you think some "proto-images" are the same as the original sets, you can request deletion of them anyway.
Secondly. ALL prototypes are leaks, except BfP prototypes, Galileo Mistika and some other. But they were leaked many years ago, so I don't think now it may be prohibited. And all of my uploads are the real prototypes. Also, if Dorek would consider images as the "unofficial information", we need to delete them all and fuse gallery:prototypes with gallery:concept art. -- 15:50, 7 March 2016 (CET)
Re: About the leaks
I'll create section "Kanohi" in the gallery:prototypes. But since Dorek said about the leaks I'm afraid of adding "white background prototypes" now, so I will upload prototypes from the expositions and TV shows. What about the magazines? -- 09:47, 8 March 2016 (CET)
- I mean the retail LEGO catalogs with the early sets(prototypes) like that German catalog with Inika prototypes. I think I'm going to upload only official magazines/catalogs, but I don't know what to do with foreign catalogs. Any ideas? -- 18:04, 8 March 2016 (CET)
- I mean some of them may be unofficial, since that information coming not from LEGO directly. Anyway, we need the direct decision - add magazines or not. -- 18:35, 8 March 2016 (CET)
- Hi, Jala! Bad news. I figured out that leaked prototypes are prohibited on the Brickipedia. Good news: since we can't upload all the prototypes in there, I created the big archive of all G1 prototypes. I uploaded it on MEGA. Biggest part of the work is done, so now we need to finish the gallery. Also, should I add the set pieces(from the Brickipedia prototypes page) to the BS01? -- 19:07, 11 March 2016 (CET)
- I mean some of them may be unofficial, since that information coming not from LEGO directly. Anyway, we need the direct decision - add magazines or not. -- 18:35, 8 March 2016 (CET)
- About the wikis: I don't know can we talk about them or not, but since BS01 has some wikis in "affiliates", we can discuss it without any problem, I guess. I'll add some prototypes today. Anyway, we need to wait Dorek's answer and then delete all unsuitable images. -- 12:06, 14 March 2016 (CET)
- Hey, Jala! Can I ask Greg Farshtey some of your theories? I think they are very interesting. -- 10:48, 18 March 2016 (CET)
Re:End of the Brotherhood
Thanks for your compliments! That story is one of the first things I wrote that I'm still proud of today. Making my stories fit in with canon is always a challenge, but I find it rewarding. Thanks for reading! --Angel Bob (talk) 21:22, 28 March 2016 (CEST)
Medium Sets
I'm going to go ahead and say make the medium set category. Don't know why Dorek isn't responding. Regarding what Surel-Nuva mentioned about Canister sets: How about Canister sets being a subcategory of Medium sets? ζox• Histories
- That's a tough call, since the Gen. 2 sets are packaged so differently. But yeah, why not? :P -- Toa Jala Converse 07:36, 30 March 2016 (CEST)
- I've just been doing this according to the way they appear on SetsNav. :/ Plus, accounting for the growth and eventual shrinkage of the canister sets, plus economic inflation, the ballpark prices probably changed over the years. The 2010 "canister" sets were the same size as the 2008 and 2009 small sets and were barely more expensive. -- Toa Jala Converse 08:02, 30 March 2016 (CEST)
I think doing it by how they are on the Sets Nav is reasonable. It's at least consistent. Also: the difference in packaging from Gen 1 to Gen 2 is what turns Canister Sets into a subcategory. Canisters are basically medium sets, they're just special on their own because they came in canisters and not boxes. ζox• Histories
- That sounds logical to me. So here's my next question: do I go back now and add "[[Category:Medium Sets]]" to all the pages in the Canister Sets category, or just leave it as is? -- Toa Jala Converse 08:46, 2 April 2016 (CEST)
If we were to follow the example of, say, the Matoran Category... then yeah... The various kinds of Matoran are listed as sub-categories and each character is in both the Matoran category and their respective (pre)-Matoran category. ζox• Histories
- Should that include the Stars? They weren't really "medium" IMO because they were the only sets. I personally don't think that the Stars should have a distinction besides "Canister," but it's your call. ;) -- Toa Jala Converse 06:05, 6 April 2016 (CET)
Yeah... Freaking Stars always making a mess >_> I'd go for that: them only getting classified as "Canister" sets. Unless someone more knowledgeable airs an objection, leave 'em as they are. ζox• Histories
Theories
I asked Greg some of your theories... https://community.lego.com/t5/LEGO-General/Chat-with-Greg-Farshtey/m-p/13862686/highlight/true#M302993
Q: Can the Element Lord of Sand control crystals, since sand is made of tiny crystal fragments?
A: No. Sand is created by the disintegration of rocks, not crystals.
Q: Was Tren Krom created after Annona? Since GBs did not remember her at all, but her image was to be deposited in their subconscious?
A: Annona existed before the GBs did. Tren Krom wasn't created until the robot was being built.
Q: Can you use Ice and Shadow together to achieve Absolute Zero?
A: Not to my knowledge, no
Q: Can it be possible that telepathic voice that told Matoro to put on the Ignika belonged to Velika? In The Kingdom Alternate Universe, that Great Being never went into exile, and Velika was just a Matoran. As a result, the voice never instructed Matoro to act, which led to Mata Nui's permanent death.
A: That was not my plan, no
- Dang it! Ah, well. I have to admit, I never expected these theories to go anywhere, much less to the man himself! I'd've been happy just knowing that another fan read them. Thanks for reading and thanks for asking. The answer to the one with Annona and Tren Krom seemed ambiguous, though, so I'll keep that one. :) -- Toa Jala Converse 05:38, 25 April 2016 (CET)
Canonizations
Wow, I'm flattered. :P Actually, I have been wondering for a while why the element pages don't credit the people who determined their official colors. Finding a source for plasma will be difficult and nearly impossible -- this was a long time ago on BZPower, and the forums have since been wiped several times. The original question might still be saved somewhere in the data for the old threads, which is on BZP. I couldn't find it, but I also don't trust this computer's search function.
The Earth Tribe stuff will be easier -- the relevant posts are already linked as references on the page. (Although personally, I'm not sure canonizing the Earth Tribe was one of my better ideas; it caused more headaches than it was worth, in the end.) Hope this is helpful! --Angel Bob (talk) 07:13, 6 May 2016 (CET)
- PointlessQuestions is my LMB username. Sorry for the confusion. --Angel Bob (talk) 23:13, 7 May 2016 (CET)
I won't shed any tears for the Earth Tribe - I'm the one who led the push to decanonize it. :P It was a cool idea, but the way Greg implemented it just did not fit with established canon, and it created more problems than it was worth. --Angel Bob (talk) 20:19, 28 August 2016 (CET)
Toa Code
We have a redirecting page for it. -- Surel-Nuva (Talk) 07:51, 21 May 2016 (CET)
Spaces
Uhm, almost every page have additional spaces, maybe because it makes the editing clearer, so please don't remove them. -- Surel—Nuva (Talk) 21:24, 31 January 2017 (CET)
- I'm sorry, I thought I was saving data space by deleting them. -- Toa Jala Converse 03:05, 13 September 2019 (UTC)
- I actually forgot why I wrote this back then... Maybe for the articles like Nuparu when a subsection has an additional page before it. I don't know about the objects page, I don't think it had any connection to it.— Surel—Nuva (Talk) 11:05, 13 September 2019 (UTC)
Reformation of Spherus Magna
You voted both for and against the proposal to rename "Reformation of Spherus Magna." Which option do you prefer? -- Morris the Mata Nui Cow (talk) 18:06, 11 September 2019 (UTC)
- Sorry, I don't know how that happened. I'm against it, and I just fixed it. -- Toa Jala Converse 03:04, 13 September 2019 (UTC)
Kraata Variations
I would prefer to leave off the minor notes of "this Kraata power uses limited elemental powers" because it doesn't offer anything substantial. It's already implied in the name of the power. And I did check if you added anything other than that, hence the new topic I started on the Kraata talk page about Telekinesis. I did however miss your additions to Rahi Control, so I apologize for that. Dag (talk) 21:17, 25 April 2021 (UTC)
- "It doesn't offer anything substantial" is your opinion. For those not familiar with the lore, the implications may not be as apparent as we take them to be. I didn't see the new topic right away, but something like a conflicting source would have been a good thing to mention in the log. Otherwise, it just looks like you're being petty. The additions to Rahi Control were new and not a part of my original edit. -- Toa Jala Converse 21:27, 25 April 2021 (UTC)
- I made the topic in the talk page because it would've cluttered the recent changes page if done in the log, plus it would give others a chance to discuss the contradiction. I don't see how that's being petty just because I didn't do it exactly the way you wanted it to be done. Dag (talk) 21:36, 25 April 2021 (UTC)
Hagah Masks
I believe Greg originally said that the Toa Hagah didn't have the same masks as matoran, as the new metallic Kanohi were given to them as gifts of honor.--Surel (Talk) 19:33, 12 October 2021 (UTC)
- I think it makes sense if the Toa Hagah had the same masks as Matoran, then kept those masks when they became Toa, then finally swapped them out for new metallic versions with the same powers. The Hagah metallic versions all had non-standard shapes, with the exception of Iruini's, because Iruini chose to honor someone who used the same mask he was already using. There may be quotes that contradict this explanation though. -- Morris the Mata Nui Cow (talk) 21:54, 12 October 2021 (UTC)
- Exactly. This would lead me to assume that the masks they wore as Matoran transformed into Great versions when they became Toa, and then were replaced with metallic masks with the same powers when they became Hagah. However, we don't know for certain that their Matoran masks transformed into Great ones, so I only said "formerly" without elaborating.
- On a separate note, I wanted to apologize for the multiple edits on each page. I guess I shouldn't try to edit with a migraine. -_- Lesson learned. -- Toa Jala Converse 21:58, 12 October 2021 (UTC)
- Greg did say why to give them masks they already have? Which implies that he disagree that the Hagah wore the same masks as a matoran/pre-Hagah Toa. And I believe this was the reason why we added, then removed this info from the pages back then.--Surel (Talk) 09:03, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
- This however, doesn't make much sense if they didn't keep their old masks; what was special about the masks wasn't that they added a new power, after all. I feel like Greg was also forgetting the context of the masks given to them. I'd just neglect mentioning this one way or another. ~ Wolk (talk) 09:09, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
Not sure if AFC was the right call after all...
I'm not sure it was a good idea to move my elements proposal to AFC, since many people are misinterpreting it as a proposal to have separate pages or something, when I am talking about the language used on the Elements (G2) page. Lukas Exemplar (talk) 01:03, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
- Since you suggested moving it to AfC, I thought it was a page creation proposal. What exactly are you proposing then? - Toa Jala Converse 05:13, 16 November 2021 (UTC)
Concept Art
I was about to lose it for adding to Unused files, but then you put them in the gallery :) -- Dorek Talk 01:48, 15 September 2022 (UTC)
- I didn't mean to worry you, LOL. Keep up the good work. - Toa Jala Converse 02:08, 15 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hey, so about those Unused files...
- This image existed already. I didn't see it because it wasn't in the gallery. I'm so sorry. please don't be mad. :( - Toa Jala Converse 06:21, 15 September 2022 (UTC)
Re: Io the Great Creator
No problem! By the way, there's a full translation of the Polish minisite here if you want to have a look. The Shadow Imperator (talk) 06:20, 4 October 2022 (UTC)
Tuyet/Nidhiki citation
Just looking at your sandbox; did you put in the wrong citation for Tuyet & Nidhiki's destinies? As for needing to achieve their destiny to become Turaga, maybe this one helps? ~ Wolk (talk) 16:14, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
- Indeed I did! Thank you for pointing that out. The correct citation is up now. Thank you for that source as well. - Toa Jala Converse 19:20, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
Prototype Takadox
Regarding this image, where did you get it and how do you know it's a prototype? --KZN02, The Master of Tediousness (Talk|Contribs) 02:34, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- I got it from a Facebook group (Maskposting, I think). I assumed it was from a toy magazine because of the yellow brick pattern underneath. I didn't realize it was from TIME. :/ - Toa Jala Converse 03:07, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- I have a feeling that particular image was uploaded by me on Maskposting. I'm actually amused it somehow ended up here. --KZN02, The Master of Tediousness (Talk|Contribs) 08:38, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hey Toa Jala, I saw the message you put on my talk page that you ended up reverting. I just want to reply to that. While I have been a BS01 member a few years and a BZP member since 2003, in practice I am new to BS01 since I never did any editing til the last few weeks, so thanks for the welcome and the suggestions. Someone else (Wolk or Gonel I think?) had already asked that I try to do all my edits at once going forward instead of adding each image as a separate page edit, so I am keeping that in mind. I have been doing a lot from my phone making it hard to do a huge page all at once but when I get back on my laptop that will be much easier. For now I am trying to just stick to one edit per page per day when adding pics to the galleries, as I am still finding some merch and stuff every day to add. Again, thanks for the welcome and the suggestions, I've been away from the Bionicle community for quite a while so its nice to be participating a bit again. Feel free to remove this message from your talk page after you've read it to keep down on the clutter. :) -Turaga of Force (talk) 18:33, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
