Set Information

The Protector of Ice was revealed at New York Comic Con 2014 during the BIONICLE panel, and officially released on the first day of 2015 in the United States and some European countries. The set consists of 68 pieces,^{[note 1]} including a Protector mask and a Skull Spider.

The weapons of the Protector can be added onto 70788 Kopaka – Master of Ice to create a "powered-up" Kopaka. Both of these sets were included in collection 5004462 Protector of Ice – Power Up, to create the aforementioned model. The building instructions of another model combining parts from the Protector of Ice and Kopaka, known as "Special Kopaka", were released on the LEGO Club website.

Features

The Ice Saw in the Protector's right hand can be spun using a gear on the back of it.

By turning a gear attached to the Elemental Blaster that is held in the Protector's hands, round LEGO 1x1 studs are launched. The blaster is able to hold six studs, though twelve are included in the set.

By pushing down the eyestalk on the back of the set's head, its mask will fly off.

Collectibles

A co-injected white and transparent light blue Protector mask and a silver Skull Spider mask are included in the set.
