Set Information

Throwbots artwork for the set

This set was released in 2000 as part of the Slizer line. The set was known as Flare in America, where it was instead part of the Throwbots line. In addition to its 44 pieces, the set comes with a carrying case and a poster, the latter also being found in the other two mutant Slizer sets - 8522 Spark Slizer and 8523 Blaster Slizer.

The pieces of the set can be combined with 8522 Spark Slizer and 8523 Blaster Slizer to create a fusion, advertised in the Throwbots line as Dynamo. While the combiner model is advertised in the instructions manual and on the included poster, instructions to create it are not included.

Features

The Slizer has a flexible arm which can launch one of the included throwing discs. The set also features a function to compact the figure into its "compact form".

In the story, the set's carrying case represents a flying transport, although this is never depicted for the Flare Slizer. The carrying case also includes indentations to store extra disc, and can be attached to a belt.

Collectibles

The Flare Slizer set contains two printed discs with levels 2 and 5, which glow in the dark.
