Set Information

Slizer artwork for the set

The Rock Slizer set was released in 1999 as part of the Slizer line. The set was known as Granite in America, where it was instead part of the Throwbots line. In addition to its 32 pieces, the set comes with a tan-and-dark gray carrying case.

The pieces of the set can be combined with three of the other Slizer sets - 8504 Judge Slizer, 8505 Jungle Slizer, and 8507 Energy Slizer - to make the Mega Slizer,[3] known in American markets as the super Throwbot UltraRex.[4] Each of the component sets provides one-fourth of the instructions for the combiner model.

Features

The Rock Slizer has a flexible arm which can launch one of the included throwing discs. Pushing or pulling on the tail of the Rock Slizer causes the pickaxes on its back to swing forward or back. Folding up the Rock Slizer's legs transforms it into "compact mode," allowing it to fit into the carrying case.

In the story, the set's carrying case represents a flying transport. The carrying case also includes indentations to store extra disc, and can be attached to a belt.

Collectibles

The Rock Slizer set contains two printed discs: A level 2 disc in its tan color, and a level 3 disc in green themed after 8505 Jungle Slizer.
