Set Information

Slizer artwork for the set

The City Slizer set was released in 1999 as part of the Slizer line. The set was known as Turbo in America, where it was instead part of the Throwbots line. In addition to its 44 pieces, the set comes with a teal-and-black carrying case.

The pieces of the set can be combined with three other Slizer sets - 8500 Fire Slizer, 8501 Ice Slicer, and 8503 Sub Slizer - to make the Super Slizer,[3] known in American markets as the super Throwbot RoboTops.[4] Each of the component sets provides one-fourth of the instructions for the combiner model.

Features

The City Slizer has a flexible arm which can launch one of the included throwing discs. Turning a gear on the top of City Slizer adjust the angle between the back and front its body. It can transform into its "compact mode," described as a "high-performance jet,"[5] by flattening out this arch. This form allows it to fit inside its carrying case for storage.

In the story, the set's carrying case represents a flying transport. The carrying case also includes indentations to store extra disc, and can be attached to a belt.

Collectibles

The City Slizer set contains two printed discs: A level 2 disc in its primary color teal, and a level 3 disc in red themed after 8500 Fire Slizer.
