Instructions

This is a combiner model introduced in 2001, portraying a black Fikou spider.

Set Information

The Fikou can be built by combining parts from 8531 Pohatu and 8532 Onua. A total of 13 pieces are used in the model, including a third ball piece which is not included in either set. Instructions for the model were included in the July-August 2001 issue of LEGO Mania Magazine.

Identical versions of this model with different color schemes were later released as 1441 Fikou and also as one of the models in 10023 BIONICLE Master Builder Set.

Features

The Fikou's head is connected via a ball joint, so it can be turned in various directions.

Collectibles

The Fikou features a black Kanohi Pakari on its back.

Trivia

• The Fikou combiner model uses an additional ball piece, which is not found in either the Pohatu or Onua sets. This may be because the prototype model of Pohatu featured one additional ball piece and an additional 2-stud long axle piece, placed on his abdomen, as depicted in the parts inventory pages of the Toa Kaita Akamai instructions.
