Time Capsule Contest

Assuming its the time capsule contest I'm thinking of, I believe this one didn't have a canonization aspect to it. Basically people submitted fan works in a few categories, and the ones with the most votes were placed in the capsule to be reopened in... I think it was 10 years. I remember specifically that the video winners/finalists were these two:

Ah, I see, thank you very much! In that case, do you have links or information about the third contest entry?, per chance? --Gonel (talk) 16:51, 20 March 2020 (UTC)
Unfortunately no! Peri (talk) 19:10, 20 March 2020 (UTC)

Comic titles

Hey, a few days ago you mentioned the fifth graphic novel lists the titles for Ignition 1-5. Do all of the titles as listed in the book match how they're listed on the wiki? Thank you! -- Morris the Mata Nui Cow (talk) 22:02, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

For the most part, yes. For fun, I checked the other graphic novels, and the only differences are as follows:
  • The fourth graphic novel goes with the title "The Final Battle" rather than "Birth of the Rahaga"
  • The BS01 article for the fifth Ignition comic is titled "In Final Battle" but the chapter title page in the graphic novel is called "The Final Battle" and the back cover just calls it "Final Battle".
  • Ignition 6 isn't referenced on the back cover of its graphic novel, but it is referenced internally as "The Underwater City: Prologue"
Never realized how many Final Battles there were between the comics and books, but I imagine with the new comic system it will be easier to differentiate between the comics from 2005 and 2006. --Gonel (talk) 17:44, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
Interesting. Looks like the title "Birth of the Rahaga" is written in (small) print on the issue's title page, but still not sure where "In Final Battle" comes from. And if Ignition 6 is just the "Prologue" I guess it never did get a real title. Thanks! -- Morris the Mata Nui Cow (talk) 03:41, 17 February 2021 (UTC)

MNOG2

If I remember correctly there are dialogues for in case you loose the Kolhii matches against the other villages. Should those be added for complition? I vague remember getting beaten by the Onu-Matoran team and then having alternate dialogues with the Onu-Matoran too, not just thr Ga-Matoran, for the actual match, not the training one at the end of the "Onu-Koro level."--Surel (Talk) 06:03, 13 October 2022 (UTC)

So far everything I've seen in the code (except for a few lines from Whenua) has been added for the level. I agree that they should be added if they can be found though, and I've already added the losing dialogue for the Ga-Matoran. If you're able to find this dialogue, it would be great to have. --Gonel (talk) 15:28, 13 October 2022 (UTC)

Lore

So the vague plan was actually to have Events, Saga Guides, and Timeline be their own separate tab, a little different from what Morris has here and not necessarily under Lore, but I know separating them might be a little confusing, do you think they would make more sense under Lore? (I would still want it as one overarching category, like Chronology or something). -- Dorek Talk 18:32, 6 January 2023 (UTC)

Ahh, I see. Yeah, it seemed like a surprising omission. My own thought is that the Timeline, Events, and Saga Guides are functions of the in-universe lore, as opposed to some of the other things listed here which are more distinct, like Sets and Media. Perhaps it could be replaced with "Meta"? --Gonel (talk) 23:53, 8 January 2023 (UTC)

Missing Matoran

Hello Gonel, I noticed that in your recently updated Matoran index you are missing all of the Ko-Matoran from the chute station where Talvi stands guard. Should be four distinct Ko-Matoran travelers [in format: mask color, body color, feet color, (Kanohi)]: #1 - white, sand blue, white (Akaku); #2 - white, dark gray, white, (Miru); #3 - white, dark gray, sand blue, (Matatu); #4 - white, sand blue, dark gray, (Huna).--ToaKebaka (talk) 18:27, 25 May 2023 (UTC)

For reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVUHqtgT-Jg I'm not so sure that's dark grey. Compare to Nuparu. Not sure where you get the Miru form? To me, they look like the following:
Komau - Sand Blue/White/Sand Blue
Akaku - White/Sand Blue/White
Matatu - White/Black/Black
Huna - White/Sand Blue/Black
Miru - White/Light Grey/White
Really wish it gave us a better look at the ones turned away from the camera. ~ Wolk (talk) 19:28, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
I mentioned them to Gonel some days ago this too, haha. and I believe that sand blue Komau wearing matoran must be Kopeke. He's distinct enough.--Surel (Talk) 19:59, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
Ah yes, I forgot about the Kopeke look-alike. Thank you both for pointing him out. It honestly might just be Kopeke. But I guarantee you the one with the Matatu has sand blue feet. Whether the dark color is black or dark gray, I am not sure - is it possible to verify this through the code of the Metru CDs, like it is in case of both MNOG games? That should give an objective answer to all Matoran colors. It would also break many misconceptions such as Matoran changing their color-schemes between Metru Nui and Mata Nui.--ToaKebaka (talk) 16:29, 26 May 2023 (UTC)
I've asked about that before. Sadly, it's a movie on the CD, so no. As for dark grey - Media:Nuparu CGI.png has dark grey, and it's much lighter. Ultimately, it's hard to say, and I feel these are too ambigious to describe in detail. We barely if at all see the torso of Huna and Matatu ones... ~ Wolk (talk) 16:58, 26 May 2023 (UTC)
I still don't really know if this Nuparu is supposed to have light grey or silver feet though.--Surel (Talk) 17:19, 26 May 2023 (UTC)
Certainly not silver. ~ Wolk (talk) 17:40, 26 May 2023 (UTC)

I see, well that is unfortunate. Regarding the gray color - it is possible that the metru CDs use some of the colors to represent two different shades. It wouldn't be the first time: for example burnt orange and orange are distinguished in Legend of Mata Nui, but in Tales of Tohunga (which was made by the same developer) the two colorations are represented by a single color used in different contexts. That is my understanding at least (correct me if I'm wrong). So it might be feasible something like that was done here with the gray, which would represent both light and dark gray. If you checks Jaa and the other background Matoran, those we know are light gray, but use the same color as Nuparu, who is dark gray.--ToaKebaka (talk) 10:02, 27 May 2023 (UTC)

Added! Now, can't decide if I should add Matoran from cut MNOG scenes or not... hmmm. --Gonel (talk) 03:22, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
We should probably document cut content. However, it'd be non-canon. I think the idea was that the Matoran with the Komau is Kopeke, matching his original appearance (Like Kapura having the Pakari). ~ Wolk (talk) 08:19, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
Yes, the one with the sand blue Komau and sand blue feet.--Surel (Talk) 12:32, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
Gonel I think you added wrong image for Kopeke. The one you used is for the Matatu wearing Ko-Matoran. And yes, there seem to be several cut Matoran in MNOG https://tcrf.net/File:MNOG_XII2A.png --ToaKebaka (talk) 15:15, 30 May 2023 (UTC)

Got it, thanks for fixing that Surel :P

And yeah, there are those two and the Biodermis Smith and the enslaved Ga-Matoran making bad Koli balls. Were there any others? --Gonel (talk) 00:10, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
