Mikal is a friendly Onu-Matoran native to Metru Nui.
Biography
Metru Nui
Prior to the Great Cataclysm, Mikal lived and worked in Onu-Metru. He was captured by the Vahki under the command of Makuta Teridax, disguised as Turaga Dume. He was then forced into a Matoran Sphere but was later rescued by the Toa Metru and awakened on the shores of Naho Bay on the island of Mata Nui.[1]
Mata Nui
Mikal lost memories of his previous life on Metru Nui and his body was reduced in size and strength as a result of being confined in a Matoran Sphere. He helped in the building of Onu-Koro, working under Turaga Whenua's supervision and using materials from the disassembled Airships that had been used by the Toa to transport the Matoran to Mata Nui.[2] While on Mata Nui, Mikal lived in a hut in the cliffs of Ga-Wahi just outside of the Onu-Ga-Highway. Mikal was an artist, and spent a lot of his time traveling the island and painting.
Subsequent to the defeat of the Bohrok-Kal, Mikal was rebuilt into a stronger form.[3]
Return to Metru Nui
Mikal later joined in the creation of boats to return to Metru Nui. He and the other Matoran then underwent a joint effort to rebuild the city, which had suffered damage. He temporarily stopped his work of reconstruction on order of Jaller, to force the Turaga to reveal where the Toa Nuva had gone, but he eventually got back to work.[4]
Mikal and the other remaining Matoran later left Metru Nui for Spherus Magna after the Great Spirit Robot was incapacitated.[5][5]
Abilities and Traits
Like all Onu-Matoran, Mikal could see in the dark, and was stronger than Matoran of other elements.
Mask and Tools
Mikal wore a powerless Great Kanohi Kakama.
On Metru Nui, Mikal generally used a regeneration Kanoka, code 675, to repair damaged portions of the Archives. On Mata Nui, he was given a hooked staff by his friend, a Le-Matoran named Paputo.
Set Information
Mikal's rebuilt design is originally from Bionicle Maskposting member Jim Seropian.
Trivia
- Mikal never canonically appeared in any BIONICLE media, as he is StarShucker's self-MOC.
