Talk:Bohrok
Rereading the Beware the Bohrok book. Is "Clean it all. It must be cleaned" good enough to be a quote in this page? I was thinking something like
"Clean it all. It must be cleaned."
— Bohrok Swarm Mantra, Beware the Bohrok
Or something like that, the Bahrag say it and Lewa thinks about it while he's infected with the Krana. I really like it but I don't know how to put it in the page. --- Creep
- That's a great idea! I'm surprised it's not already on the page. --Angel Bob (talk) 21:08, 6 November 2016 (CET)
initially?
right now the second paragraph starts with "initially, teridax..." awakened the bohrok early... something somethingsomething. Only problem with that is, teridax wasn't the first to awaken the bohrok - they'd awakened at times before that, right? i was going to change it by simply removing the word "initially" but the sentence didn't sound right to me after that. Pronounciation
According to the Official Guide to Bionicle, the pronounciation is BOE-rok, however according to the Bionicle Encyclopedia Updated, it's BOH-rock. Is there a presidence for which one is considered canon? ~ Wolk (talk) 20:55, 17 March 2019 (UTC)
- In this case I think it's two different ways of writing the same thing; I'd stick with the later version, as that's more consistent with other pronunciations of its kind. Might be worth a note though. -- Dorek Talk 21:20, 17 March 2019 (UTC)
Krana Mixing
I'm not sure on which page this belongs, but I'll take a shot and put it here.
The concept I'm wondering about is as follows: A Nuhvok and a Kohrak have both lost their Krana for an unimportant reason. The shells themselves are fully intact, and everything is normal except for the loss of their Krana. Say a pair of Gahlok Va come along, and see that these two Bohrok are missing their Krana. If the Gahlok Va try to put their Krana into the shells of the Nuhvok and Kohrak, what happens?
Additionally, what if a normal Bohrok was accidentally given a Krana-Kal (ignore the logistics of how that would occur - I don't know either.)? And a Kal being given a normal Krana? 𝙗𝙮 𝙒𝙖𝙙𝙙𝙡𝙚𝙯 23:49, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- I don't know about the latter. As for the former, the Krana adapts to be the right type: https://greg.thegreatarchives.com/2008-2010/page26#post1005-line36,48 ~ Wolk (talk) 09:47, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
- The Jerminator found the answer to the latter, a Bohrok can't use a Krana-Kal, nor a Bohrok-Kal a normal Krana.https://greg.thegreatarchives.com/2003-2008/page5#post184-line97-98 --Surel (Talk) 20:31, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
Number of Bohrok?
It says here that there are more Bohrok than there are Matoran. I thought that would be an interesting trivia point to add, but given that the other questions in that post pertain to LoMN, I wonder if this applies to the total population of Matoran in the universe or just the population of Metru Nui. It would make sense to me that there are more Bohrok than there were Matoran in Metru Nui, but I'd have trouble believing that there are more Bohrok than Matoran, period, since the former used to be Matoran themselves. Can this fact be added to the Trivia section, and if so, how? - Toa Jala Converse 06:48, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
- Probably Matoran on Mata Nui? But given the ambiguity, I'm hesitant to add it as well. ~ Wolk (talk) 06:53, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
- I am absolutely positive it only refers to Metru Nui population. In 2004, story team has not yet decided there even were Matoran living outside of Metru Nui.--ToaKebaka (talk) 07:41, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
- The thing that makes me hesitant is that Lhikan and Dume were already established back then to not be from Metru Nui. In Lhikan's case, that seems to first be mentioned in May, compared to January of the quote in question: https://greg.thegreatarchives.com/2003-2008/page34#post1329-line35-36 https://greg.thegreatarchives.com/2003-2008/page34#post1333-line17-18 ~ Wolk (talk) 08:02, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
