Your images will make a fine addition to our collection. -- Morris the Mata Nui Cow (talk) 17:54, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

I'm glad somebody's uploading them! Will you be doing stuff from all the discs? I'm most excited about the "B" images of the sets. -- Dorek Talk External Image 19:06, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
Thank you Dorek and Morris! I've been meaning to post various images for sometime, and I do intend to post stuff from the other disks. Unfortunately, I've come across "Error creating thumbnail: File with dimensions greater than 12.5 MP" when posting some of the concept art and I'm not sure how to handle this. I did try to switch to jpg but the images on BS01 weren't able to change from png to jpg. Thanks in advance, I hope you're doing well during these difficult times. --Count Pewku (talk) 20:01, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
Because of your username I was seeing how long I could talk to you only using prequel quotes, but I can't keep it up. :P
What are the dimensions of the largest image you plan on uploading? We can reconfigure things on the backend so the software can generate thumbnails of larger images. -- Morris the Mata Nui Cow (talk) 21:54, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
It's all good haha. A few of the concept art images I have are 4,960 x 3,507. I haven't found anything bigger as of yet but as you can probably tell, these are much bigger than the counterparts that have been on this site for a long time. --Count Pewku (talk) 22:25, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

I temporarily changed the settings to allow thumbnails for images up to 5000x5000px. It worked great for the JPGs, but the PNGs' filesizes are so large that trying to generate thumbnails causes memory allocation errors. So, for now I've lowered the limit again to 3500x3500px.

Not sure of the best way forward. It would be nice to have those files on the wiki, but actually placing them in articles isn't realistic if we can't generate thumbnails. Maybe you could upload smaller-resolution versions (ones the site can generate thumbnails for) and link those in galleries, etc.? Then we could also have full-resolution versions, but only link to them on the smaller versions' file pages. If people want the full-resolution versions they'd click through to the small file's page and find the download link for the big version there. Curious to hear your (and other staff members') thoughts. -- Morris the Mata Nui Cow (talk) 00:32, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
