Talk:Eliminator

Contest entry picture

I see that a picture of the original contest entry was just added to this article, similar to Primal and Firedracax. However, those latter two articles have the contest entry pictures included to showcase the significant differences between the original model and the book photo (Primal's backwards torso, Firedracax's posture), whereas Eliminator looks pretty much identical to the original model. Therefore, I'm not sure whether it's necessary to include it on this page. I wouldn't be opposed to keeping it, but if we do keep it, then it will open the door for uploading contest entry pictures for other Rahi and Dark Hunters. --PeabodySam (talk) 22:28, 20 November 2022 (UTC)

It doesn't seem to be consistent. Tahtorak's original photo is on the page, and there's not any differences there. Personally, I think the originals should be on their respective pages wherever possible. Dag (talk) 22:37, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
Yeah, agreed. I think we've been doing that for any DH/Rahi where possible. I see it as just, showing as much of the original model as possible, instead of one view, so that people can see how they're built, and idk... it's just nice to have. ~ Wolk (talk) 11:52, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
Wait nvm, I thought we were talking about the gallery... Yeah, in that case, I agree Firedacax and Primal are simply there for the comparison. ~ Wolk (talk) 11:54, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
Since it comes from the original entry I'm not like, super opposed, but with the (ideally archived...) gallery links it feels somewhat redundant. -- Dorek Talk 21:15, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
Agree that it is redundant given the gallery link. Speaking as the person who added the content entry image, my motivation was to increase the visibility of the fact that there are other reference images (e.g. for people who want to recreate the model or are just generally interested) as a casual page reader might not realize this without an image to draw their attention.
