Work to Do

Okay. This is a start, but this page still needs a lot of work. In no particular order:

  • We still need more images. I refuse to believe that that is the only picture of a Pakari we have. We should probably get images for masks from all sources, I saw some masks didn't have images from sources that others did. I also think it wouldn't go amiss if we added more images of masks being used, i.e. Onua chucking a boulder at Nui-Rama in the early comics, Kopaka making footprints in the snow while invisible from MNOLG, that big linked shield from Mask of Light, that sort of thing.
    • On a related note, can anyone see if we can get images of the Noble Kanohi similar to the Great and Nuva masks Shine uploaded? Maybe the gold and silver masks too, if we're lucky.
  • The descriptions are a little terrible. Most of them are just what I threw on the page or copied directly from the pages themselves, which is a no-no. They should be gone through and tweaked a bit, if not outright re-written.
  • Some of the masks have only one image to their name. I think it may be best to move those masks to 'Other' unless someone can scrounge up more examples for them.
  • There needs to be some kind of set way to organize the pics. I can't really think of a good way right now though.

So yeah. Discuss possibilities, organize images, do good work. I think I'm too spent to really be more coherent. XD --Master of the Rahkshi Ask, and ye shall receive. Eventually. 04:56, 20 October 2014 (CEST)

Images for Other Colors

Just going to throw it out there, assuming that all colors and variants will indeed find their way here... Brickset would be a very good resource for such pictures, provided the inventory parts can be found via LEGO's cache. --~|RC|~ (Talk/Contribs)

Fo sho. Although there are still SOME parts that are a bit off (looking at you, Suletu...). I'd like the gallery on the Kanohi page to be more standardized too. -- I AM THE DOREK do not truffle with me 20:37, 19 October 2014 (CEST)

Ignika

There's several images left on Gallery:Ignika of just the mask that belong here instead. Shine 21:26, 19 October 2014 (CEST)

Taken care of. --Master of the Rahkshi Ask, and ye shall receive. Eventually. 04:56, 20 October 2014 (CEST)

Re: No Categories

You're missing a </gallery> tag at the end of the page. Shine 03:35, 20 October 2014 (CEST)

Organization

I'd like to bring up the possibility of alphabetizing the sections of this gallery. I realize that the Kanohi here are sorted by team or association - and match the organization on the template - but I feel that this gallery is hard to navigate as is. -- Toa Jala Converse 09:15, 10 March 2016 (CET)

Green Mutant Huna

The Huna section includes a Green Mutant Huna. Does this count as a mask? It only appeared as a piece of armor for Karzahni, not as an actual mask. Same goes for the silver Krast, only appearing as part of a vehicle. Chuckeroo777 (talk) 22:49, 25 August 2020 (UTC)

It's more than acceptable, otherwise we'd have to remove a lot of images for the same reason (Pearl Gold Kraahkan, for example) --external image Owner (talk|contribs)
I would say it counts as a mask, as the original piece that was used as armor was a mask. And this is a gallery for all the Kanohi, we could push ourselves and make a "Canon/Non-canon" distribution between the two, but I'm honestly thinks it would limit the possibilities, like if we say that the green Huna Hordika is non-canon, we indirectly says that over the 100 thousands years there were no green colored Huna wearer (either Toa, or another species) that was mutated by the Visorak Horde. I'd like to think that in the way, how it is now, we could say that there were speciments, who were mutated, but we haven't met them, so we don't take away any of the possibilities.— SurelNuva (Talk) 03:53, 26 August 2020 (UTC)

Hagah Discrepancy

I noticed that the newly-canonized Hagah Kanohi have been added to this page under different guidelines; Pouks's mask follows the format of Norik's Pehkui and is listed under Mask of Emulation, since that's its power, while Gaaki and Bomonga's masks are listed under Unknown Kanohi according to their shape.

I'm not saying that either method is "more right", but it should probably be consistent. I would recommend listing them by shape, but that's just my opinion. Additionally, they could be listed under both; for example, put Bomonga's mask under Mask of Growth as Bomonga's specific Mask of Growth, but also include it under Unknown Kanohi as being representative of an unknown shape.

In my opinion, listing them under both would be more useful. What do others think? (The preceding unsigned comment was made by Morris the Mata Nui Cow)
Both sounds right to me as well. ~ Wolk (talk) 14:53, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
