Toa of Shadow?

According to this source from February 2008, Toa of Shadow can help create Toa Seals. However, this source from April 2008 seems to contradict that claim. Which should we consider canon? - Toa Jala Converse 21:15, 9 April 2022 (UTC)

Per the first quote, the scenario given in the second quote wouldn't work, however that is not what Greg comments on... I always wonder if we should rely on just making notes saying "It's been inconclusively stated both ways," but this may end up being the case for a lot of thing... ~ Wolk (talk) 21:59, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
There's also this quote from Aug 2008. What I find interesting is that Greg makes a distinction between "Shadow Toa" and "Toa of Shadow" (the difference being Shadow Toa were a different element, but had their light drained, while Toa of Shadow are just that?). Although, given that Toa of Shadow do not exist, that's pretty much a given. Dag (talk) 22:14, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
Shadow Toa. Manifestations of the Toa Mata's inner darkness created by Terry. ~ Wolk (talk) 12:06, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
I'm aware of that, but I thought it unlikely in this context since 1) they haven't been relevant since 2001 and 2) they were just illusions and not actually Toa (so then, how would they possibly have created a Toa Seal?). The term "Shadow Toa" has also been used to refer to Toa whose light has been drained.[1][2] Although, looking at it again, if "Shadow Toa" refers to the manifestations Makuta created, and "Toa of Shadow" refers to Toa whose light was drained, why did Greg bother making the distinction if neither can help create a Toa Seal, which is what the April 2008 quote says? The distinction only matters if Toa of Shadow can help create a Toa Seal, which agrees with the earlier Feb 2008 quote. Dag (talk) 20:50, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
