Talk:Suva
This page, and every related page, are in need of a lot of attention and citations. I will get to work when I have time, but I am busy and this is such a huge amount. Here are the sources I've found on the the various Suva, the Kanohi, the Golden Kanohi, the way they relate to Toa Tools, their teleportation/abilities, and more. This is nowhere near comprehensive, but it is a kicking-off point for anyone who wants to help. Firespitter Lhii (talk) 15:15, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
I'm willing to take a crack at this. Gathered some more down below. ChroniclerTakanuva (talk) 21:22, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

Karda Nui
The one quote that says the Toa Nuva couldn't access their Suvas from Karda Nui doesn't give a reason. Though the wording alone does suggest it is something inherent to Karda Nui that is blocking them, it isn't explicitly said either. If it were this one quote, I would say that would be a safe assumption, but it's not. Another quote says "whether their suva have a range that can reach the universe core, though, is problematic." The only time Greg was directly asked if Suvas have a range limit was back in Nov 2006, to which he said "not that we have seen thus far." When asked why the Toa Nuva didn't use their other masks against the Piraka in BL1, he said "Another option that has not been explored if whether or not suva have a range -- the Toa were thousands of kios away from Metru Nui, can they still swap masks with their suva over that much distance? Don't know." He also said all Toa could have and use their own Suvas "if they are within range." EDIT: Found a quote where Greg doesn't deny or confirm whether a Suva could work, since "we don't know that the core's shielding bars all teleportation." Dag (talk) 22:13, 5 May 2024 (UTC)
Switching mask without a Kanohi
As currently cited, a Toa must already wear a mask in order to switch mask: http://greg.thegreatarchives.com/2003-2008/page3#post99-line8,9
However, doesn't this contradict how the Toa are described placing their masks onto the Kini-Nui to get their Golden Masks? ~ Wolk (talk) 17:34, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
