The pronunciation for the Piraka... Is it correct? PIE-rock-ah? --Boidoh (talk) 17:07, 23 August 2014 (CEST)

It's the one listed in the updated encyclopedia, which I think is the source we usually use for pronunciations, so it's at least one valid pronunciation. Sometimes there are multiple ones though, like LEE-wah/LAY-wah for Lewa (see here). -- Morris the Mata Nui Cow (talk) 17:39, 23 August 2014 (CEST)
Don't stuff like the rap and ads say "PIH-rock-ah"? --Boidoh (talk) 18:18, 23 August 2014 (CEST)
Yep, I think that's how most people say it. It'd be a good question to ask Greg. -- Morris the Mata Nui Cow (talk) 18:35, 23 August 2014 (CEST)
The Bionicle Heroes Game pronounces it Pea-rock-ah. I think that one should be listed, since most early Bionicle names pronounced 'I' as ee(Gali, Hahli, Lhikan, etc.). Tomayto, tomahto.

Greg's Piraka BZP Topic?

Do we know anything about Greg's BZP Piraka topic that he mentions here, even if it existed? I didn't see a BZP news entry about it, and I haven't found it on the forums with the Wayback. Does anyone remember this? Dag (talk) 18:49, 27 November 2024 (UTC)

The way Reidak's strength and endurance is presented in this topic further speaks to them not being simply character traits but abilities on par with the resistances of some other Piraka.
This topic may also be the origin of the idea of Hakann and Thok (Vezok?) being able to channel their elemental powers through their weapons. "With the exceptions of those Piraka with elemental-based weapons, Piraka can only use their elemental power in conjunction with another Piraka." ~ Wolk (talk) 06:16, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
