Talk:Nokama's Toa Metru Mini Promo CD

From BIONICLEsector01

Why is this considered semi-canon? None of the other Toa Metru CDs are categorized as semi-canon. Master Inika (Talk) 14:46, 21 August 2017 (UTC)

Because in the book Vhisola wasn't imprisoned by Nidhiki, and in the CD she actually is. That difference makes only NOkama's promo CD semi-canon. — SurelNuva (Talk) 22:36, 21 August 2017 (CET)
It really shouldn't be unless we consider BC1, the movie novelizations, and BL9 semi-canon - which we don't. Canonicity isn't based on how something compares to other sources, but how something should be compared to other sources. ~ Wolk (talk) 10:34, 19 July 2022 (UTC)
Correction, I guess we do have the SC template on those. ~ Wolk (talk)
I would actually prefer to take it off of all of these, frankly. We could dig through even the highest tiers of canonicity and find dozens of contradictions and errors, but as aside from minor errors, these should generally be seen as fully canon. At any rate, those generic semicanon templates are confusing and don't specify what about the page isn't canon, and I'd prefer we instead have sections on each page denoting what aspects of the media aren't canon.
That said, in the case of the CD-ROMs, i could see an argument for semi canonicity given how they use MNOG 2 names, unless it was confirmed somewhere that these names were fair game. --Gonel (talk) 13:43, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
Good point about the MNOG names... Doesn't sound like they would have been. https://greg.thegreatarchives.com/2003-2008/page76#post3014-line30 https://greg.thegreatarchives.com/2003-2008/page139#post5521-line10 https://greg.thegreatarchives.com/2003-2008/page176#post7015-line21 https://greg.thegreatarchives.com/2003-2008/page180#post7165-line94 ~ Wolk (talk) 13:49, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
