Talk:Epena
How do we know that Epena was featured in the MNOG? Is there an official source stating this? --Toatapio Nuva (talk) 15:40, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
- I believe when someone spoke with Templar (was it Bman? I think it was Bman) they confirmed that anybody who was otherwise identical barring the size change was intended to be the same character. I recall them being pretty specific about it. -- Dorek Talk 21:31, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
- That's interesting. There are other Matoran looking exactly like Epena in the MNOG though, putting his identity into question. Also, an identified source to the information would be helpful, if it's available anywhere. --Toatapio Nuva (talk) 08:16, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
- All he does in MNOG is kick a Koli ball in a Koli field. I don't really see how that qualifies him as a Quarry master... --Toatapio Nuva (talk) 11:34, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
With the discussion in Talk:Kopeke, I thought it would be a good time to raise the issue with Epena again. Apart from the similar appearance, there is nothing else suggesting that the Pakari-wearing Koli ball Matoran from MNOG is Epena. I get that Matoran with similar roles between MNOG and MNOG 2 were intended as being the same, and we have a source for that, but in Epena's case the roles aren't similar at all. The role of the Matoran in MNOG is simply that he wants to play Koli. It could be anyone. I therefore suggest that we remove the speculative connection between the two Matoran. --Toatapio Nuva (talk) 09:53, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
- In this case, what Templar told us has nothing to do with the jobs. See Talk:Mata Nui Online Game#Matoran Identities - "So Yes, if you see the same character mask/color combinations in MNLOG1 & 2 it’s probably supposed to be the same character." In other words, appearance is the stipulation we were given, and sounds to be the main thing they were looking at. Characters like Shasa and Amaya are just too obvious to not be meant to be the same character, regardless of the fact that they are used differently, IMO. Boreas, we could probably turn into a trivia point, similar to Azibo. MNOG also depicts Makani riding a Kewa, and in general, I don't think anything inherently prevents Matoran from having multiple occupations. ~ Wolk (talk) 22:12, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
- There are multiple Po-Matoran with this exact mask and color scheme in MNOG. Why did we decide that the Koli ball Matoran specifically is Epena? --Toatapio Nuva (talk) 23:29, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
